Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 5 Gallon Hex I bought this aquarium around 10 years ago. I am still using it. I do have to say that I think the Eclipse System that it came with, (the same as the Eclipse 3), is really not powerful enough for a 5 Gallon Hex. What I did was turn the light part around, put the rectangular piece in the middle, and I am using a Penguin HOB as the filter, much more powerful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Acrylic May not be the best product for you This review is a result of having to shell out $45 for a replacement tank. All of the other pieces of the aquarium are great and work well wirth this tank. However, within a year I noticed that the acrylic had turned quite milky. In spite of doing regular water changes, cleaning with non-abrasive materials, using only the recommended conditioning chemicals, etc., the surface had discolored to the point where the tank is going to have to become a planter or put to some other use. I do believe this was some reaction to the water, as the area under the suction cups for the heater and thermometer are clear as glass. I live in the NW and we have very neutral water, so I cannot bring myself to believe that was the issue. I'm waiting to see if the problem reoccurs with the new tank.
