Rated 1 out of 5 by from Magnum C530 CANNISTER My magnum c530 is one year old and stopped working. I noticed the magnet looked like it had warrped so I ordered a new impeller assembly, now the gasket is leaking and much to my dismay the gasket kit is out of stock. I am frustrated with the entire assembly, and my turtles are now wallowing in yuck water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. I purchased the C-530 filter and has issues with it. Thought the gasket kit would fix it but after talking to customer service it turns out there was an issue with the system itself. What was great is that it was still under warranty and they shipped me a completely NEW system. Installed it and that was great it is now about 4 months later and I am having the same dang issues I had before. what gives can't they build a product that will not fall apart? Now I am going to have to go through the same thing ALL over again with trying to contact them and they are NOT in my time zone and my hours in CST are not conducive to theirs. Here we go again. I might just have to bite the bullet and look at other filter products out there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Update to my earlier review As I posted above, my c-530 unit began making an unusual amount of noise after only 1.5 years. I replaced all of the gaskets and impeller on the unit hoping that would help. Even though I couldn't repair the unit to my satisfaction, the manufacturer noted my review here and replaced the defective unit. The unit was still under warranty but the forethought and independent effort on the part of the manufacturer, was extraordinary. I have installed the new unit and so far it is performing well. I hope this unit holds up better than the last. If it does, they will have a customer for a very long time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gaskets didn't stop the noise I have a c530 filter that's around 2 years old. It is making so much noise, that it is currently not useable. I have replaced the impeller assembly and now the gaskets. I also noticed that the check valve on the head assembly beneath the primer has one of the flappers broken. I don't know if that is the problem as there is no way to replace it. I did remove it to prevent it from floating its way into trouble. I am really disappointed with this unit. It worked well for about a year and a half and then the incessant noise began. Lots of money and not a lot of life.
