Rated 3 out of 5 by from Instruction Problem Haven't tried the product yet because I couldn't find the instructions. It wasn't until I went to this site that I found a similar review and discovered the instructions are located once you peal the back label back. I suggest you make that tiny turn back logo bigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome stuff I had some pretty nasty brown algae that was taking over my tank causing me to have to scrub all the ornaments really well each week. So I got some of this algae eliminator and dipped a toothbrush in it and scrubbed it all over the ornaments and rinsed them. They've ben in in the tank for 2-3 weeks and don't have a spot of algae on them :D id defiantly suggest this to others.(the reason I didn't put it strait in my tank is because its so small and I didn't want to end up with too much in there )

Can I use this on a 2.5 gallon betta tank with one betta and no live plants

Asked by: MeghanD
As long as it has been set up for a minimum of 3 months, and has good filtration, yes. Or you could add a couple of nerite snails and they will consume algae on any of the surfaces. BREX

Would this be safe to put in my horses 92 gallon water trough? Already have goldfish in there but a week after changing water it is green again.

Asked by: vhcambrian
This has not been tested on horses. I would recommend barley straw pillows, instead. This is an all natural method of removing the algae that will not harm them. They come in various sizes and you replace them every 3-6 months I believe. (I have horses). Your water is going green because of the sun and the amount of waste the goldfish are producing. Goldfish do not help with algae, they make it worse. BREX

Hi I recently bought this product nd I wash my tank nd put some of this algae eliminator nd I left home nd came back nd all my fishes were dead ? Do you guys know why ?

Asked by: Mzrachel
Without more information, we cannot say for sure, but most likely it would have to do with washing your tank. Another possibility would be if you did not leave the filter running while the chemical was in the water, or possibly an overdose. BREX

Can this product be used with a Beta? It's a 3.5 gallon tank that is coated in brown algae within a week.

Asked by: steepo
Yes, but if the tank is new, this is semi normal. Make sure your light is only on for about 10 hours a day, and the tank is not near a bright window. Do a partial water change and wipe the algae off with an appropriate algae pad. Feed twice a day, one or two pieces of food and no more. Algae is easily prevented but if you continue to have issues, then try the Algae Eliminator. Make sure you follow the directions carefully. BREX

I have Mollys, an albino Cory catfish, upside down catfish and crayfish. Will this algae eliminator be harmful to any and if so which ones? On a side note, I have baby Molly's in another tank. Would they be safe using it?

Asked by: Jessica 76116
We would not recommend this for use with the crayfish or upside down fish. As long as the tank is well cared for, the baby mollies should be fine. BREX

How do I use this in my Marineland multistage c-220 canister filter? Do I remove my Bio Balls and Ceramics as well as the Charcoal filters?

Asked by: RixiRox
Thank you for your support of Marineland products! No, just remove the carbon, there is no need to remove the other items. The carbon is removed to avoid having it pull the chemical out of the water. BREX
