Rated 1 out of 5 by from Directions impossible! I bought this hoping to be able to use it right away. Couldn't find the instructions, so I went to this site and discovered Marineland says, "peel the back" for instructions. The only problem is, when I attempt to peel the back the entire label comes off and there is absolutely no way to separate what I'm guessing is to panels with the instructions on the inside! #1 Marineland should make it clear on the bottle where the instructions are to be found and #2 They should make is super easy to access said instructions!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like magic for green water . I bought this today and got home and treated tank at 7pm . took all carbon media out . cranked air pumps and opened power head air flows wide open . now at 830 pm same night 1 1/2 hrs later tank is clearer than ever has been . I treated at 1/4 dose first and diluted it into gallon of water and poured slowly through my hang on back filter to dilute as much as possible . seen alot of horror stories of other brands killing all the fish almost instantly swimming through it. Then 15 mins later added another quarter dose for total of half dose . then another 1/4 dose 15 mins later . so total dose of 3/4 strength . wish I took pictures cause if you told me it worked like this id swear I was getting lied to. This stuff rocks just dilute and add slowly and crank air to max and sit back and watch . super impressed will keep a supply of it in my have to have meds and supplies .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Instruction Problem Haven't tried the product yet because I couldn't find the instructions. It wasn't until I went to this site that I found a similar review and discovered the instructions are located once you peal the back label back. I suggest you make that tiny turn back logo bigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome stuff I had some pretty nasty brown algae that was taking over my tank causing me to have to scrub all the ornaments really well each week. So I got some of this algae eliminator and dipped a toothbrush in it and scrubbed it all over the ornaments and rinsed them. They've ben in in the tank for 2-3 weeks and don't have a spot of algae on them :D id defiantly suggest this to others.(the reason I didn't put it strait in my tank is because its so small and I didn't want to end up with too much in there )

Rated 4 out of 5 by from INSTRUCTIONS!! I just bought the product, so I cannot comment on its effectiveness. The instructions are NOT readily available. Please print the instructions, i.e. arrow, where people can see it easier. place another sticker, if you must, saying the instructions are on the back of the label. I hope the product works!

I put in about 1/4 amount recommended to help with brown algae. How long do I need to wait before i put shrimp into the water. Also to I need to change my charcoal filter?

Asked by: DDogg2287
The charcoal filter should be out for about 4 hours, then put it back in. Wait 72 hours for the product to fully work. At that point, do a small partial water change, and put fresh carbon in the filter. Wait several more hours, then you can put shrimp into the tank. Brown algae is due to poor lighting, a new tank, or poor water quality due to a lack of water changes. BREX

Is this algae eliminate safe for aquatic turtles?

Asked by: Butterfly
No, algaecides of any type are not safe for turtles as they have not been tested on them, and turtles can absorb chemicals through their skin. BREX

I'm Considering buying this product but I was looking for a media that I could add to my emperor 400 to help combat algae.

Asked by: John W Menshek
Well, this is not a media. Algae is due to nutrients in the tank. The best way to combat it is to vacuum the gravel and do partial water changes. You may want to do small changes a couple of times a week for a bit. Also, make sure your lighting is okay. There are different types of algae, and lighting can cause some of them. If you have a fluorescent fixture, replace the bulbs every 9 months. If it is near a window, block the light from the window. For media, you can either add a second cartridge or fill the media container with bio beads, filter floss, or something similar. Phosphate pads can help too, and can be inserted in front of the filter pad. BREX

Used as directed, and now my discus are darting and crashing into tan walls. Can this product cause neuro issues in fish?

Asked by: Rowtrolljoe
No, but discus are very sensitive fish. This is a chemical that needs oxygen to perform its job, so it may have caused some oxygen issues in the tank, if the level was already low. Or it could just be discus being discus. They are very sensitive to ANY change in the tank. Algae should be controlled by frequent, large water changes for them. BREX
