I put 5ml too much after a water change. Is a small overdose going to harm my fish?

Asked by: Fishman09
Any overdose can harm, yes. It usually depends on the overall healthiness of the tank and the inhabitants. We would recommend a small, partial water change, if possible. BREX

After doing a water change, should I use enough easy care to treat the water that I just added or should I treat all of the water in my tank. Thank you!

Asked by: Quick Question
This product is not a water conditioner that de-chlorinates. You would dose for the entire tank, along with your normal de-chlorinater. BREX

We just got a tank and I put the recommended 5ml to the 10 gal. Tank but alkaline is still high do I add more? I used tap H20 to fill tank.

Asked by: Hanna
This product won't reduce pH or alkalinity. It actually keeps it from dropping or fluctuating due to lack of water changes. No need to adjust the alkalinity or pH unless you are keeping very delicate, difficult fish such as cardinal tetras. And in that case, we recommend natural driftwood and rock along with peat. BREX

What vitamins and minerals does this product have and how does it keep the pH from fluctuating?

Asked by: Brian028
The ingredients are citric acid, sodium hydroxide, and tartaric acid. It helps to buffer the water, essentially. BREX

Can I use the easycare water product for a salt water tank?

Asked by: Kimk9h
No, it is for freshwater. You would use Instant Ocean's Natural Nitrate Reducer instead. We make that as well. BREX
