The revolutionary design of the new Marineland Multi-Stage C-Series Canister Filter forces water to pass through the filter media trays, and not around them. With virtually no bypass, and a three-stage filtration process, only sparkling-clean water can re-circulate into your tank—regardless of size or type of aquarium.

The key to this process is our special internal design and three-stage approach that passes the water through a series of specialized filter media. It’s a design that delivers the best available technology in mechanical, chemical and biological filtration… and it’s a design that is unmatched for capturing particulates.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cracked canister I have had my c-360 since January. The prime button has stopped working like it should, and now my canister has a large crack in the bottom. The filter has never been knocked over or abused, how it cracked I don't know, hopeing to have it replaced with warranty... I love the filter it's super quiet and I loose way less water than I did with a regular filter, but I'm super disappointed that I'm already having issues...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you like a filter that leaks, this one is for y This is the second C 360 in two years. First one was replace because of leakage after one year. Seals were replaced but still leaked. Second one started leaking about 6 months and now if power goes out the filter pours out tank water. Not only it leaks all over the Oak hard flooring, it has discolor and flowing will have to be replaced. I have the sitting in a large tub under fish tank and this past weekend, the power went out and about 15 gallons of salt water overflowed on to hard wood floor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ready, get set, goT to return it!! Bought this tonight and was really excited to hook it up to my L-046 Zebra pleco tank before they arrived over night. Wasn't that hard putting everything together and it was a good thing I tested the primer button on it before cutting any hoses. Won't pump, won't move. Not a very good start to this relationship. After trying to call the 800 number and learning they close before most people arrive home from work I've decided to return it tomorrow and get a FLUVAL like I have on my other tank.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It works, I'll give it that I bought the C360 in an emergency. It filters a 90 gallon aquarium. Fitting the head is a bear, a real PITA. It binds hard to the top tray and takes a LOT of effort to seat. I don't mind the specific tray placement (arrow guides provided), but the head mount effort is a deal breaker for me. I've had it a year, and I'm considering an Eheim unit. That said, Marineland parts purchase is a DREAM compared to Eheim's. I own an Eheim classic canister, and had to get a seal kit (the original emergency). Parts from Eheim was a horrendous experience. I guess it's a tradeoff - poor head fitment on Marineland vs disgusting parts access for Eheim. Oh, I forgot, the tubing is huge, and stiff as a board. You have to warm the tubing in very hot water to get it over the bar bends, and heaven help you if you have to get it off again. The plastic tubing clamps are quite inadequate and I had to use automotive hose clamps to keep air from getting sucked into the intake side.

I bought a C160 2 years ago.  Yesterday when I tried to lock it in, the plastic band around the filter cracked.  The plastic band is what holds/locks the top portion of the filter to the bottom part.  Do u have a replacement for this part?

Asked by: cybercyclist_rp
No, this is not available separately. You have a 3 year warranty, however, so should submit the filter for warranty and get a new one sent to you. Please call us if you have questions at 1-800-322-1266.BREX

How long it will take for the 120vac 60hz canister filter recycle a 56gl tank

Asked by: Louise
That would depend which of the canister filters you were referring to - we would recommend the Magniflow 360. The C Series is discontinued and no longer available. Approximately 7 times per hour.BREX

Pump not working c-160 motor is not running? Could be it be wet? Safety?

Asked by: Ness
The first possible reason is that the impeller or area it sits in is clogged. We would recommend removing the motorhead, twisting off the impeller cover, and pulling the impeller out. Clean it well with hot water and white vinegar. Take a q tip and vinegar and carefully swab out the inside of the motorhead where the impeller resides. If you get absolutely no sound or magnetic pull after doing this cleaning, then the motor has died. The unit has a 3 year warranty. If you are within this warranty period of time, please call us at 1-800-322-1266.BREX

Why is my marineland 360 pump leaking

Asked by: Pet friendly
There are a number of reasons. Check your motorhead o ring and replace it if it is over a year in age. If it is not, use some silicone lubricant. Also, check the valve block and make sure none of the 4 nozzles are clogged - there are two on the underside as well as the two that the tubing pushes onto. If it appears to have gunk in any of them, use a q tip to clean each one out, and soak the valve block in a hot water, white vinegar solution of 50:50 percent for about 15 minutes, and shoot strong water through each one afterwards. There are also o rings on the nozzles that are on the underside. Try lubing those, and purchase a replacement gasket kit, again, if the unit is more than one year old, and replace the two smaller ones.Call us at 1-800-322-1266 if you need further assistance.BREX

my 220 canister filter came with 2 carbon bags, do you use one at a time and change out for the next after a month ? I'm asking because it seems like a lot of carbon otherwise. I only use 8 tablespoons for my 75 gal and I'm using the 220 on a 30 gal tank.

Asked by: mrpergo
You use both bags at one time. It IS a lot of carbon, but it really clears the tank and polishes the water.BREX
