Remove ammonia from your aquarium with these ammonia neutralizing crystals.

White Diamond® Ammonia-Neutralizing Crystals are ideal for all freshwater aquariums and ponds.

White Diamond removes up to 4 times more deadly ammonia to keep water clean and fish-safe. It protects against sudden ammonia "spikes" and helps control the presence of ammonia...especially during the break-in period.

I purchased this product but it has no instructions. I have a 1000 gallon koi pond. How much do I use

Asked by: NRVKoi
The instructions are as follows: Test ammonia in parts per million (ppm). Take this number and multiply it by 0.009 to find the number of cups of zeolite you need per gallon of water. Test the water frequently and replace the zeolite as needed. Remove the zeolite once the ammonia is at 0. For a large pond like this, you would need many, many containers of White Diamond. This product is rarely used for ponds, and is intended for aquariums. You might want to buy zeolite in bulk, instead. BREX

I am using aquarium salt @ 1 tbsp per 10 gallon in a 55 gallon FW tank. Will this salt neutralize the effects of this zeolite?

No, it will not. BREX

I bought this ammonia crystals in online retailer store, just received but it's no instructions anywhere on the container as of how to use it in pond, what dosage etc. Can you please provide instructions of how to use it. I have 3200 gallons koi pond.

Asked by: Koilover
It would take more than one container of this for a 3200 gallon pond, Koilover! Typically, it is about 1/4 cup per 10-20 gallons of water. If you are having an ammonia issue in the pond, do partial water changes of around 25%. Be sure to have a water conditioner on hand to treat tap water, if you do. BREX

I need a media cartridge for the Penguin 150 Bio_Wheel Filter to put this into the 2nd slot of my filter canister. Where do I find this? Or what can I use in lieu of a stocking?

Asked by: NancyS
We do not make media containers that fit the 150. The only thing I know of are media bags made especially for this purpose. BREX

Should I use the Black Diamond Blend with my goldfish? I add add aquarium salt to their normal water 1tbs in 5 gal. I heard that salt affects zeolite and releases ammonia. If not what should I use?

Asked by: Joe D
The best way to control ammonia levels is to not overstock, and to do small partial water changes weekly or bi-weekly for a goldfish tank. We would also recommend http://www.marineland.com/Products/Food-and-Water-Care/Aquarium-Bacteria.aspx instead of zeolite in your situation. BREX

How do i add the ammonia neutralizing crystals? I have a 38 gal tank and have the Penguin Bio wheel 200 filter system.

Asked by: RoyM
There are a few different ways of doing this. With the Penguin filters, you can purchase a media container separately that fits into it. Here is a link to it on Pet Solutions: https://www.petsolutions.com/C/Aquarium-Filter-Cartridges/I/Marineland-Penguin-Filter-Cartridges.aspx?catargetid=520009670000581070&cadevice=c&gclid=CjwKEAiAlZDFBRCKncm67qihiHwSJABtoNIgqO5d4ouH2shsgCTUV00P_Pnf2l5JbHmjXnz53FHRMxoCUGfw_wcB. This would be the easiest method, just fill it, and slide it into the front slot of the filter system. Another option is to take the toe of a nylon stocking and pour it in there, then tie it off, and place it in the filter box. Use approximately one ounce or 1/4 cup. BREX
