Can I use this with the Penguin 150 Power Filter and if so how so? Do I need additional supplies, or can I just add these to the filtration unit?

I have a 20 gallon tank and haven't owned fish before, but I understand ammonia (and eventually nitrates) can be problematic.
Asked by: Fishowner
Partial water changes are what we typically do to reduce nitrates, and the biological filter will eventually remove the ammonia, once it has become established. Add fish slowly and do not overfeed to avoid ammonia issues. That being said, if you have really large fish or goldfish, White Diamond is a good idea. You add it to a media container for the Penguin filter (media container is sold separately) or you can add it to the toe of a nylon stocking and place it in front of the cartridge. BREX

Can I use this product in the Magnaflow 160?

I've read about people adding a 1/4 cup to the magnaflow canister filter in the tray with the carbon bags. Is this a good idea? I don't want to risk clogging the filter.
Asked by: jusware
Absolutely! The only thing we would recommend is that you put the crystals in a pany hose, or some type of mesh material so that it is not loose in the filter. MINI
