Majesty Canopy

I have a 55 gallon with 48'' advanced led on top and the penguin 350 filter. Will the majesty canopy fit on top or will the led handles that sit on the edge of the tank be in the way?
Asked by: Toner
The handles will probably be in the way, but you can actually remove them and allow the light to lay on your glass canopy. Or some people remove them and re-insert them upside down, then attach the light to the underside of the wooden canopy, depending on what type of tank they have and what their needs are at the time. Stand design question

I bought a used 65G with a majesty stand. It looks like the aquarium sits on the two ends with no support through the middle? Is the by design? Can you explain how that properly supports the aquarium?
Asked by: Jwpick42
Stands support the pressure points of an aquarium not the entire bottom. Typically, most stands must support the outer edges of a tank as those are the pressure points. It depends on the particular tank though, and style of the stand. All of our stands are tested in many different ways and with dozens of aquariums prior to receiving design approval. BREX

How to level my majestic stand and 75 gallon tank was level, now when full not level, off 1 in side to side

# NV15021 rev A was level now when full it's off side to side almost 1 in.
Asked by: fraserdad
This is usually a flooring issue. You cannot level the stand as this will be altering it which voids the warranty and also may cause it to not properly support the tank's pressure points. I would recommend sending us some pictures; one of the tank on the stand from a distance, including the floor it is on, and one with a level on top of the tank, showing how off it is, and finally, one showing the tank itself and just the top of the stand so we can see how it is positioned. You might also want one from the end of the tank as well. This will help us to determine what the issue is so we know how to assist you. Please put FOR BREX in the summary line of any email you may send. BREX

Will this stand be adequate for a 125 gallon or should I get a stronger stand?

Asked by: Ronnikins
Yes, of course! We manufacture this style in a 72 x 18 specifically for a 125 gallon tank. It has been tested to provide proper support of the pressure points of a tank. BREX

If I request that my stand be 30 inches high instead of 18 will it be less durable under the water weight of the tank?

I have a hand made stand that is 30" tall and love the height it gives with my 55 gallon but I want to upgrade to a 125 and don't like the 18" stand heights offered.
Asked by: Ronnikins
Any custom stand can be questionable as it is not a proven design. Therefore, it may not support the tank's pressure points properly. I am not sure that the height necessarily has anything to do with it, it is the overall stand design that must be taken into consideration. If you go wtih a custom stand, your warranty is no longer a limited lifetime one, but one year on the tank only. BREX

Can I replace part of my Majesty (perfecto) 44 Hexagon cabinet stand?

The top and bottom surface of my stand have warped from water damage and I'd like to replace those two pieces of wood without replacing the entire cabinet if possible. Do you offer replacement parts on these cabinets? Thanks
Asked by: Bria
No, you would need to replace the entire stand. Altering the stand in any way voids warranty, so the only parts we ever have available for any stands are sometimes the door and hinges. BREX

Marineland Majestic Stand, Model 69483

HI we have the above mentioned stand, and we also have a 100 gallon tank, that measures 48" L x 19" W x 24" H. With the tank full, we figure it will weigh about 900 pounds. We were told that the stand will hold the weight as long as we put a sheet of plywood across the top, or put a support piece in the centre. By a support piece, I mean a leg to go under the centre board that goes across the middle. Just want to know if this is right, and can the stand hold the weight of our tank. Thanks.
Asked by: Sierra
As that stand is 48 x 24 and I understand you to mean that your tank is 48 x 19, the answer is no, we would not recommend it. It would hold the weight, yes, but not support the pressure points properly. To put a tank of those proportions on this stand would risk it leaking. The addition of the support piece would not help. Marineland 75g Tank Stand Sturdiness

Hi. I recently purchased the Marineland® 75G Aquarium Majesty Ensemble at Pet Smart. Is the stock stand sturdy enough to hold the 75g fish tank at full load (60 pounds of sand, water and decor)? I made sure my stand and tank is leveled with the carpet floor. I'm concerned that there is not enough support to hold the tank. I will be running two c-360 filters with a 250W heater. I am planning to get a Tiger Oscar. In addition, what will void the warranty. I live in Vancouver BC, Canada. Thanks, Jeffrey
Asked by: CivicSiR
Hi Jeffrey, All of our stands are tested prior to being placed on the market, and are capable of holding 10 lbs per 1 gallon of water, so that stand can hold up to 750 lbs without a problem. Keep in mind your sand, decor, etc, will displace water, so you will not have an actual 75 gallons of water in the tank. Any alteration of the stand or tank will void all warranty. Drilling holes, removing braces, etc. BREX

Canopy work with lights?

Does the canopy work with the lights that were provided with the 75gal tank and "majesty" stand from PetSmart? As in, do I just set the canopy on top of the tank, or is there some modification needed to make it fit with the lights? Also, the PetSmarts in my area don't carry the canopy in the store, are they able to order it?
Asked by: CoreyS1415
The canopy just rests on the frame of the tank. Lights should fit under it with no problem. Be sure to use glass canopies to avoid too much condensation. No, Petsmart cannot special order anything, you would need to have a local fish store order it or buy it online. BREX

Just puchased a 150 gal MAJESTY STAND. Can i use some type of water seal to inside of cabinet ( thompson est. )
Asked by: meateye
We have not tested any other brand of sealer over the existing finish, and it is not part of our recommendations for care fo the stand. You would need to do a small test area first, and it might require sanding the fishing to get it to stick. MINI

Weight of canopy

I bought the marineland 55 gal. all glass quarium and majesty stand. I want to buy a canopy, my question is: will the aquarium be able to support the weight of the canopy plus the water and rock decorations plus HOB filters? Isn't it too much weight for the aquarium to bear? Thanks!

Yes, it will be able to bear the weight of the canopy as well; it is not too much for it. BREX

I'm looking to but the 60x18 black wood canopy to go with my aquarium but was wondering does the back have room for filter tubes, water heater, bubble tubes etc going to tank? Would I have to drill holes? Also does the canopy take away from the tank glass wise? Like when I put it on will it cover any glass cause my aquarium has a black lip. It's a majestic also. Thanks
Asked by: Francostacos
The Majesty canopy is indeed open in the back for storage, passage of tubing, and electrical cords. Also the canopy does not take away from the glass as it does rest over the top framing only. MINI

36x36 monterey cabinet.

I looked at the 36x36 Monterey cabinet at a local LFS. The side panel slides towards the back, is this correct(they got it to slide)? I would think that it lifts out, otherwise, it would not open due to the back of the stand being against the wall. They did not seem to know much about it. I am concerned because the front brace between the 2 doors would not allow for a sump to be placed into the cabinet.

stand leveling

HI. My 75 gallon majesty stand isn't quite level front to back. It is slightly out of the bubble on level, with the back being lower. This is with the tank on stand, and gravel with about 8 gallons of water inside. Is this a problem, how to rectify? Thanks
Asked by: TOOD
This is not necessarily a question that can be answered in this forum. What type of flooring is the stand on? Is the floor level? Quite often, floors are not completely level and throwing the stand off. I've set tanks up in all sorts of similar situations without a problem. I doubt that your situation is an issue, but without seeing pics of what you are seeing and knowing more about the flooring, I cannot provide a definitive answer. If you can, email us pics directly and put FOR BREX in the subject line. BREX

Majestic stand and 120G High Tank - With Corner Overflow

Hi I am working with my local fish store and I am trying to figure out the total height of this setup. I am looking at the 60" x 18" x 26" tank. How tall is the stand? Is the stand 28" high? does the tank sit on top of the stand or does the border of the stand cover the bottom? Hence how tall is the total setup? Is it 54" - more or less? I'm assuming there are no options for a slightly shorter stand? Thanks for your time.
Asked by: Chill
The stand is 34.5" tall. The tank will sit down in it at a depth of 2". We also have a Monterey in this size, but it is the same height. We have a 120g tank that is 48 x 24 x 25 if that helps. BREX

Veneer plywood top on Marineland stand?

I bought a stand for a 75 gallon corner flow tank from Triad Reef Critters in Greensboro, NC. The tank has a thin piece of plywood/veneer across the top supports. Is this supposed to remain in place? If so, should I just cut out a section underneath the corner flow? Will this affect whether the tank sits level? Thanks.
Asked by: Treehugger
If you have a Majesty stand, it is most likely upside down. There is no plywood across the top of the stand as it is open. You would need to flip it over. The only stand we make for a 75 gallon with a solid top is the Monterrey and cutouts for plumbing are already there. BREX
