Does your 48x18 Monterey stand (item 60325) come with or without holes/cutouts to accommodate a predrilled tank? If I were to use it with a (centered) 55 gallon glass tank, would this be structurally unsound? Would the tank bow/crack over holes/cutouts?
Thank you for your inquiry. the Monterey Stands have a completely enclosed top that is drilled for the corner overflows that accomodate our tanks. if your tank is drilled in the center for a sump setup, then we would recommend the Majesty Sereis Stands, as it has an open top and would accomodate your tank. We would not recommend drilling the top of the Monterey Stand for the plumbing of your tank that is located in a different position.

In a recent question, you responded that the Monterey stands are made of Okoume Plywood, and various hardwood materials. What parts of the stand are made of Okoume Plywood? What parts of the stand are made of "various hardwood materials"? And, specifically, what are those "various hardwood materials"? Thanks.
Anything that is a “panel” (door panel, side, panel, front panel, etc.), is plywood, with a wood veneer for the finish. The door trim, and the trim at the edges/top/bottom of the stand are solid wood. Depending upon when it was made, it could be birch or ash. I believe most of it is birch. There are some pieces that have been made of “softer woods” such as pine and spruce, but are still solid wood.
