Rated 5 out of 5 by from Resolved problem I purchased a 4 ft led light several years ago. It began flashing and won't omit a steady light. I called and spoke with Steve, he quickly ascertained that the problem was most likely a power supply. One is on it way to me at next charge! Service was excellent, thanks again Steve.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from like the feature of the timer I bought the Advanced LED Strip light back in june 2016 for my birthday, however it is now Turing off on its on if you slightly bump it for example when you lift the lid to feed the fish. Then, when my wife sets the timer it turns off recycles then turns back on I tried a different power cord from that the pet tore owner gave me. I know it is not my outlets. This product was expensive I hope to hear from Marine land soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product This is the second Marineland LED light to fail after less than 1 year. I tried to contact Marineland through their web site but that also does not work. This one just quit working today and was working yesterday. Nothing was done around the tank to have any effect on it, it just quit working. The other now flashes like a strobe light. Not impressed with the quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice easy to set up I love this product. Only wish it had a battery back up that maintained time setting. Good news is that it's so easy to reset the time settings. Would recommend this to anyone

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The product is not made for aquariums This is the second time in as many months that some water, not a lot, dripped from my hand and onto the light. The result was immediate. The lights went off and within minutes I could not move the on/off switch. Certainly I didn't mean to drip water onto the light but this is an aquarium. I was adding a rock and when my hand came out it was wet. I put my hand on a towel right away but not before a few drops fell on the light fixture. This is the second LED light bar I have lost in the past two months due to water drops. This product is not made for aquariums, not aquariums with water in them anyway. If I dropped it into the aquarium that would be one thing, but a few drops? And twice this has happened? LEDs last a long time, but not if they get wet apparently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright and Beautiful These lights are beautiful!Bright light from such a compact unit would have been impossible a decade ago. Marineland has done well with this LED lighting solution!I love the way that they timer is built in. I have the blue running only at night and the fish look so peaceful underneath the blue light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LED Strip creates beautiful light effects I bought the Advance LED strip light to replace my outdated fluorescent fixture and wow what a difference. My fish colors are vibrant while the LED light reflection create a soothing shimmering effect throughout my 45 gallon aquarium. It literally has transformed the atmosphere of the tank. I have always used Marine land products from filters to heaters and now LED lighting. The cost for the unit was very reasonable. The programmable lighting gives me control of how long both the daytime and nighttime lights will be on each day. I truly love this light strip and encourage other aquarists to switch from traditional light fixtures to LED technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light for a planted tank I love this light, and Marineland. They stand behind their products like no other company, and they have amazing, high quality aquarium products that are unmatched in the industry. I'm a huge fan of this light, especially for a planted tank. The integrated timer makes it a super convenient option, and it's really easy to program. I highly recommend this light, and Marineland aquarium products in general.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Although I do recommend Although I do recommend this product and do like it you have to be careful not to spill anything on it (liquid wise) or else its gone and it is bright. I have a 37 gallong (30 inchec long) and it brightens up the whole aquarium to the point that I was getting algae (the hard type that you have to use a razor and a bronish hard algae on my heater and pumps) I finally turned everything off for a three days and then turned just the blue on and that made that algae go away., I do have a very heavy planted tank. ALthough everything is not higher then 8 inches it is so bright so be careful. I now have a Neptune Apex systems and I cant use it to control it because of the built in clock and timer. But other than the above it's a fantastic light and I would give it 6 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a problem with this light! I am not sure why so many people have had difficulty with this light. I have had 2 on an open top 20G tank and they have been working flawlessly for over 3 years. Not one single issue. I have the older version without the built in timer so I have them on a regular small appliance timer. They run for about 7.5 hours a day. Getting ready to buy two more 36 inch lights for my 40 Breeder

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product won't last They talk about five years and I have purchased two. Spending over $400. Both have gone out in 18 months or less. I would say they have a long ways to go on making a good and long lasting product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Programmable LED lighting feature We have a Marineland 60 gal tank/furniture stand. I hated the flourescent lighting. There was a sale on lighting back in Aug 2014. I purchased the Marineland LED double bright lighting system 36"-48", however, the place of purchase shipped me the MarineLand Advanced LED Strip Light instead. Talk about a deal! The biggest difference besides price is the fact that this one is programmable and has 1750 lumens and the Double Bright system isn't programmable/digital and only has 1200 lumens. It lights up the tank with a little bit of one side being a little shadowed which is fine with our fish. For a 48" length tank, if you want it gleeming from side to side, then I would go with the 48"-60".

The part holding the hidden led strip lights has clip on one side, but it is so tight that could not be opened wide enough to attach to the frame of Marineland 60-gallon aquarium. I am afraid it would be broken if forced to press onto the frame.

It is typically easier to put it on at an angle, rather than straight on. For more help, call our Care Team at 1-800-322-1266. BREX

Asked by: Need to know
It is 6000 kelvin, and will not sustain any corals. You need a reef light for that particular job. We currently do not make one at this time, although our Hidden LED is rated at Par/Lux at 12" PAR/LUX at 24" Lumens 17" 25/886 10/302 400 21" 25/1121 11/377 550 BREX

How many watts per led

Asked by: Ty dang
Depending on which size you own, you will have 9 - 33 watts total for the light. The watts only give you the amount of energy the light uses, they do not provide any information on the amount of light the unit is providing. BREX

My 39 gal.led light died . It's always moist in place , I'm sure that's why it died . Your lights now have end covers with some kind of extentionstuff. My lid fit in a recessed area resting on a clear plastic lens , so will these new one work on mine?

Asked by: Bob Franklin
No, you would need a glass canopy instead of the plastic lid, and then you could use one of these. BREX

I have a 48 freshwater light with timer. I came home a few days ago and the light and timer both were not working. Everything else is still running. We did not lose power in that time. Is there any fuses in the light? Could it be the transformer going bad

I have a 125G tank, which size LED should I get for it. Some people say get one the 48"-60", while others say get two 36"-48"

Asked by: Regg
We actually recommend two front to back since it is 18" wide, so you would need two of the 48-60" or four of the 36-49" to really get good coverage. If you go with the 48-60 inch lights, your corners will be shadowy and the tank will have a more "natural" look to it, since natural waters are not as bright. It depends on what type of inhabitants you have and what sort of look you wish to achieve. BREX

I have a 29 gallon Eclipse 2 tank. I have replace the lamp ballast twice already. This one is getting close too. I would like to covert to LED. Which kit would I use. I want to keep the existing filtration if I can.

Asked by: Winehead
You would need to change out everything and go with a glass canopy and LED strip light, or you could install the Hidden LED in the 21" length, and leave the Eclipse in place, just cut the cord on the light assembly. You could also change out everything and go with a new filter and the LED Aquarium Hood. BREX

I plugged in my new Marineland Advanced LED light strip and set the clock to 10:15 pm.  Since it's programmed "out of the box" for ALL LED lights to turn OFF at 10pm...why did the lights go on?  i tried unplugging light fixture twice and light stsys on.

Asked by: Bankerdad
Stop unplugging it. If you intend to leave the default settings, then push the white button one time to get the lights to turn off, after you set the light up. Wait till 3 pm the next day, the lights should then come on, and go off at 10 pm like they are supposed to. You need to override the default system the first time, by turning them off yourself, but do not unplug it; that just re-sets them. BREX
