We're looking for a replacement LED lighting strip for one of your acquariums - a 46 gallon tank that's curved in the front. It doesn't look like the light strips on your website will fit our tank (they're straight, and the tank is curved).

Asked by: Patti S
If you are looking for ones that actually came with it, please contact us at 1-800-322-1266. If you are looking to simply buy some LED light sticks that go inside the tank, the Hidden Led ones will clip to the front of the tank - it's a bit tricky but they do. If you need a light strip to go across the top of the tank, then there are several options and you would want the 36-48 inch size of whichever option you prefer. BREX

Hi!! I've bought my 56 gallon column tank aquarium last year, and the top part is broke yesterday can anybody tell me where I could find a replacement for my glass hood, I'm looking for the plastic hood with light,

Asked by: Renato
We do not make a black plastic full hood for specialty tanks like this one, only for standard sizes. You would need to get a new glass canopy. You can either order it through a local fish store or you can get it through www.thatpetplace.com or www.petswarehouse.com. BREX

I have a aquarium in a yacht the depth of the tank is 12" the reason I like think this light would be good is because the top of the tank is a non transparent water tight door .is this light capable of growing coral . Is it enough of the right light .

Asked by: Capt kev
The Hidden Accent LED Strip Light with all blue lights is rated for corals. It is 460 nm and 17" long. However, you would still need a 10,000 - 14,000 Kelvin white light as well. I would recommend the Reef LED Strip Light for this purpose. It also has blue light, but it combines both types of lights. It is low profile, and comes in lengths from 18" to 48". BREX

I have a 55 gal. tank that I bought as a kit that came with 2 of your lights in 2 hoods can I add these in addition and will it support plant life? Submersible?

Asked by: Patrick5826
Yes, you can definitely add these to supplement the original lighting. They do support low to moderate light plant life. Yes, they are fully submersible. They are intended to be mounted in the frame, and rotate to allow directional adjustment. BREX

I just bought the Marineland 60 gallon ensemble and have replaced the t8 bulbs with floramax bulbs and know I need more lighting for my large plant collection. Is this fixture good for plants or some other hidden led system good for plants?

Asked by: Jofish
The blue and white Hidden LED light would be suitable for live plants, yes. For this size tank, we recommend at least two of them, depending on the types of plants you plan to keep. BREX

Attaching to a 23g bowfront

I have a 23 gallon bowfront tank, 30" W x 12" D (at the middle' 10" at either end) x 18" H Can I either 1) attach the light to the front with the suction cups (presumably it can't clip on due to the curve), or 2) attach it to the straight back. The issue at the back is that it has an attached lid, with the hinges on the back frame. I presume that it being waterproof would mean I can have it under the HOB filter.
Asked by: ScottAR
It would not fit on the front at all, no. You would have to make room for it on the back. It comes in a 17" and a 21". BREX

Can I replace flourescent with LED lighting?

I have your model PFES12 and the lighting fixture seems corroded. Can I change to an LED and if so, which would be appropriate?
Asked by: RLA45
Yes, and no. You cannot place one inside the cover. You would need to cut the cord of the old light, and use a Hidden LED which would snap into the frame at the front of the tank. BREX

looking to get for my tank, 60x18x24, 120 gal, do you think two of these will work? are they programable at all?

They will definitely fit, but no, they are not programable. I'm not sure if they will be enough for your tank since I don't know what you house in your tank. They are extremely bright, however, and good for live plants. BREX

hidden Led lights

I have both of the hidden led light and both of them have condensation in each tube.. why advertise as water proof when indeed they are not?
Asked by: usarng2000I
Because they are waterproof, however, when they are first plugged in, moisture that was trapped inside, when they were sealed, may cause minor condensation that is not an issue. If they are showing more than minor condensation or it is interfering with their working capability, there may be a bad seal. You have a one year warranty on them. BREX

will a 21 inch one light my 37 gallon tank and will it grow plants

It will definitely aid in growing plants, although your tank is pretty tall. The height will reduce this ability somewhat. This is a very bright light, however, and should have no issues lighting the tank. BREX

I have a 6' fish tank, and the top is complicated for lights (not exactly clear). Will this work, and will it grow plants?

Will this light work for plant growthin my 6' fishtank? Would I be better off with 3 21" lights, or 4 17" lights? Or, should I double the amount of light and put some in the front and the back? This is a standard 6' long 125 g tank.
Asked by: EMSY
While our Hidden LED lights are not marketed for their strength to grow or sustain aquatic plant growth, depending on the types of plants and your plants' light needs, you may still be successful. The issue is the depth of your tank and how much light energy is needed to permeate through that depth to reach your plants for photsynthesis needs. While you may need to do some extra research on what amount of light energy your plants require, the specs of this LED's light is below (scroll down and click on the "product manuals and instructions" link for lighting spec information). http://www.marineland.com/Products/aquarium-lighting/LED-Aquarium-Lighting/freshwater-saltwater-reef-aquarium-led-lighting-system.aspx ML2

Marineland Hidden LED Lighting System w/30-gl Saltwater Tank

Are the 460nm blue LEDs enough to support life such as sea anemones and/or plants? Also, I'd like to leave the blue LEDs on all night? Is this ok for the fish, crustaceans, etc?
Asked by: Ranman
This light is meant more as a supplemental light as the white lights in it are not 10,000-14,000 Kelvin. You would need the Reef LED Strip. No, do not leave them on all night as this would not occur in nature, and would be detrimental to the livestock. BREX
