What is the PAR at 12" on the new 20" hidden led light stick?
That is for the 21" not the 20" stick.

We're looking for a replacement LED lighting strip for one of your acquariums - a 46 gallon tank that's curved in the front. It doesn't look like the light strips on your website will fit our tank (they're straight, and the tank is curved).
If you are looking for ones that actually came with it, please contact us at 1-800-322-1266. If you are looking to simply buy some LED light sticks that go inside the tank, the Hidden Led ones will clip to the front of the tank - it's a bit tricky but they do. If you need a light strip to go across the top of the tank, then there are several options and you would want the 36-48 inch size of whichever option you prefer.

I need a LED hood lamp replacement for a 20 gallon tank (11 1/4" x 23 1/2" hood)
Sounds like you need a light bar; this is sold separately through many local fish stores, Petsmart, online through www.petmountain.com, www.thatpetplace.com, etc.
If it is within the one-year warranty for this item, please call us at 1-800-322-1266.

Do you sell the plastic clips for the 21" light strip? I broke a couple during cleaning.
We don't sell them separately, no, but we do have them. I will email you directly for your information.

I have a 55 gal hexagon aquarium with 14 in sides....the aquarium is acrylic..will this fixture suction to acrylic aquarium walls?
No, it has a long clip on it that attaches to the plastic frame of a glass tank.

Hi!! I've bought my 56 gallon column tank aquarium last year, and the top part is broke yesterday can anybody tell me where I could find a replacement for my glass hood, I'm looking for the plastic hood with light,
We do not make a black plastic full hood for specialty tanks like this one, only for standard sizes. You would need to get a new glass canopy. You can either order it through a local fish store or you can get it through www.thatpetplace.com or www.petswarehouse.com.

I have a 21" hidden LED light that I love. Recently I moved it to another tank and noticed there was water in the tube. When I reinstalled it on my Son's tank, the lights don't seem to be functioning properly. Can you help?
I will email you directly to see if that is possible.

I have a 29 gallon tank that is 30in wide 18in tall and 12in deep. Will the 21in led be sufficient for all my low to moderate plants?
Yes, the 21" Hidden LED light bar would be sufficient for the plants that you have in your tank as long as they are low to moderate.

I have a aquarium in a yacht the depth of the tank is 12" the reason I like think this light would be good is because the top of the tank is a non transparent water tight door .is this light capable of growing coral . Is it enough of the right light .
The Hidden Accent LED Strip Light with all blue lights is rated for corals. It is 460 nm and 17" long. However, you would still need a 10,000 - 14,000 Kelvin white light as well. I would recommend the Reef LED Strip Light for this purpose. It also has blue light, but it combines both types of lights. It is low profile, and comes in lengths from 18" to 48".

I have a 55 gal. tank that I bought as a kit that came with 2 of your lights in 2 hoods can I add these in addition and will it support plant life? Submersible?
Yes, you can definitely add these to supplement the original lighting. They do support low to moderate light plant life. Yes, they are fully submersible. They are intended to be mounted in the frame, and rotate to allow directional adjustment.

I just bought the Marineland 60 gallon ensemble and have replaced the t8 bulbs with floramax bulbs and know I need more lighting for my large plant collection. Is this fixture good for plants or some other hidden led system good for plants?
The blue and white Hidden LED light would be suitable for live plants, yes. For this size tank, we recommend at least two of them, depending on the types of plants you plan to keep.

Attaching to a 23g bowfront
I have a 23 gallon bowfront tank, 30" W x 12" D (at the middle' 10" at either end) x 18" H
Can I either
1) attach the light to the front with the suction cups (presumably it can't clip on due to the curve), or
2) attach it to the straight back. The issue at the back is that it has an attached lid, with the hinges on the back frame. I presume that it being waterproof would mean I can have it under the HOB filter.
It would not fit on the front at all, no. You would have to make room for it on the back. It comes in a 17" and a 21".

Use with acrylic tank
Can the hidden led light bar be used in the seaclear 30 gallon acyrlic tank
Most likely not as it needs a frame to clip on to.

Grow plants in a 10 gallon?
I bought the 17" hidden light, will this grow plants in my 10 gallon tank? Would it be considered, low, medium or high light output? This will help me with my plant selection, thank you.
Low to moderate light plants would do well with this light.

are these lights dimmable
would like to be able to dim the lights. this would allow me to use a controller to turn them on/off gradually to desired level to simulate typical daytime light and make the fish more comfortable about lights (no turning off and on when the kids want to see them, etc.)
No, they are not.

Can I replace flourescent with LED lighting?
I have your model PFES12 and the lighting fixture seems corroded. Can I change to an LED and if so, which would be appropriate?
Yes, and no. You cannot place one inside the cover. You would need to cut the cord of the old light, and use a Hidden LED which would snap into the frame at the front of the tank.

looking to get for my tank, 60x18x24, 120 gal, do you think two of these will work? are they programable at all?
They will definitely fit, but no, they are not programable. I'm not sure if they will be enough for your tank since I don't know what you house in your tank. They are extremely bright, however, and good for live plants.

Will it be good for my plants in a 55 gallon standard form?
Yes, it is good for plants in any tank. However, considering the length of your tank, you will need 2 of these.

hidden Led lights
I have both of the hidden led light and both of them have condensation in each tube.. why advertise as water proof when indeed they are not?
Because they are waterproof, however, when they are first plugged in, moisture that was trapped inside, when they were sealed, may cause minor condensation that is not an issue. If they are showing more than minor condensation or it is interfering with their working capability, there may be a bad seal. You have a one year warranty on them.

Why are there two options for size 21"?
Apologies, this was a mistake, and has been fixed.

will a 21 inch one light my 37 gallon tank and will it grow plants
It will definitely aid in growing plants, although your tank is pretty tall. The height will reduce this ability somewhat. This is a very bright light, however, and should have no issues lighting the tank.

What is a good replacement for an Ecplise 3 lighting system? Would the Marineland Hidden LED lighting system be good for both fish and plant life?
Yes, it would. You can install it under the frame in the front of the tank. It would work well with most types of plants.

I have a 6' fish tank, and the top is complicated for lights (not exactly clear). Will this work, and will it grow plants?
Will this light work for plant growthin my 6' fishtank? Would I be better off with 3 21" lights, or 4 17" lights? Or, should I double the amount of light and put some in the front and the back? This is a standard 6' long 125 g tank.
While our Hidden LED lights are not marketed for their strength to grow or sustain aquatic plant growth, depending on the types of plants and your plants' light needs, you may still be successful. The issue is the depth of your tank and how much light energy is needed to permeate through that depth to reach your plants for photsynthesis needs. While you may need to do some extra research on what amount of light energy your plants require, the specs of this LED's light is below (scroll down and click on the "product manuals and instructions" link for lighting spec information).

Marineland Hidden LED Lighting System w/30-gl Saltwater Tank
Are the 460nm blue LEDs enough to support life such as sea anemones and/or plants?
Also, I'd like to leave the blue LEDs on all night? Is this ok for the fish, crustaceans, etc?
This light is meant more as a supplemental light as the white lights in it are not 10,000-14,000 Kelvin. You would need the Reef LED Strip. No, do not leave them on all night as this would not occur in nature, and would be detrimental to the livestock.

I'm trying to get enough light for dwarf baby tears. I currently have a 16 G bow front with a 15 watt light. Will this provide enough extra light?
I need something fully submersible as I have a hang on back filter that would get in the way of hanging another light on the back rim.
Assuming your 15 watt bulb is a grow light or plant bulb with 6500 Kelvin, yes, this should be enough. One note of concern is that I assume you will mostly have the baby tears in the front of the tank since it is a foreground plant. Since your tank is a bow front, this will not fit on the front. It is submersible, so I am assuming you plan on putting it further down on the back of the tank. This may still be too far away if the plants are in the foreground.

Hidden LED Lighting System
Does this lighting system support plant life?
Yes, it will support low to moderate light plants such as java fern, anubias, cryptocoryne, amazon swords, etc.

What size tank does this item fit?
I have a 60 gallon tank. Would this item be to small?
For something like a 60 gallon tank, most people put two of these in the tank. These are 21" long so that would cover 42" of the 48". They are quite bright, by the way, if you are considering them as the sole light for your tank.
