Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great transaction. My Eclipse is at least 10 years old. I was able to identify the problem, read the questions and answers and replace the parts I needed. So glad the parts are still in stock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping my Hex 5 Alive The pump on my 10-year-old Hex 5 acryclic aquarium finally died, and I was so glad I was able to replace it with this assembly. My neons thrive in the gentle water flow that this pump produces. Replacement is fairly easy, but you need to be certain you remove all the small detachable parts from the old assembly--it's not obvious what those parts are just from looking at the assembly. Some FAQs on this site explain what to look for. Thanks Marineland for continuing to produce this essential piece of equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good system My old pump stopped working and I needed a new one. Seems to work good. Luckily I had read some other reviews on it that mentioned removing ALL the small parts from the old pump to reuse on the new pump. I almost missed a couple I hadn't even noticed. Fairly easy to change out though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product has frustrated me because it stops working without exactly the right amount of water in the tank. I constantly think that this product is not working because the wheel stops spinning and it becomes very noisy. I live in Colorado and with the dryness out here the water evaporation is excessive, I have to keep the water at a very specific level or else the product doesn't work. Our other tanks do not have this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customer support helped me find the perfect replacement part. I was not familiar with Marineland products before I acquired a second hand 5gal hex tank. It had been used a little roughly prior to my ownership and the motor for the filter soon quit. I wasn't sure what to buy or if the parts were interchangeable, but the person who spoke to me from customer support was patient and kind, steering me right to the correct replacement parts. It arrived swiftly and was easy to install. The filter now works better than when I first got it. Thank you!!

I have several K filter cartridges left. Do you still sell any pumps that use them?

Asked by: CMT1
That fit the System 6 and no, we don't have any tanks currently using it. There are still people out there using the System 6 so you might try Craigslist or EBay and see if you can sell them or buy a 6. BREX

I have a hex 5 and am wondering how to remove the complete impeller from the assembly so i can put it in a new one. I cant 't get the magnetic part out and don't have a manual/diagram. please let me know if you can help.

Asked by: trad
You remove the intake tube and strainer. This leaves a short tube on the bottom that is about an inch and a half in length and is part of a cover to the pump. Pull this hard and remove the entire cover. Once the cover is off, pull out the impeller assembly. If it seems jammed, the pump probably melted due to being exposed to air for long periods of time or it has too much buildup. In the former case, you need a new pump. In the latter one, you can try pouring distilled white vinegar in around the impeller and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes then try to work it out. BREX

I have the 12 gal eclipse system and it makes a lot of noise will this fit?

Asked by: freespirit031872
No, this is not the correct pump/filtration assembly, and noise is usually due to low water level or an impeller issue. Here are the Eclipse 12 parts still available: http://www.marineland.com/search.aspx?q=eclipse%2012#/?filter.brand=Marineland. The pump is not available any longer. BREX

My unit is about 8 years old and today the pump stopped working. If I order a new one will all the parts from the old one fit. Some people wrote that the intake tube and/or impeller housing does not fit.

Asked by: Carol47
If you have one of the small desktop kits, yes, the old parts will fit. It is the larger ones, for the 10 gallon, 20 and 29 gallon tanks that may not have parts that fit. And in that case, the system has to date back to before 2000. BREX

I have a 25 gallon Eclipse PFE 3 Hood did not come with any of the filter parts can anyone tell me what I need I have not a clue all I have is the tank light and Hood no filter parts

Asked by: BJBUGS
The PFE3 did not fit a 25 gallon, it fit a 29 or a 37. The PFE2 fit the 25. Depending on which one you own, you will need several parts, basically everything on this page: https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Tori-Solid-Wood-TV-Console-Stand-with-Cabinet-by-Christopher-Knight-Home/12637755/product.html. You would also need the bottom strainer, which we no longer sell... BREX

The filtration system i currently have says this on the top pfes 02/02D/03/05HX/05CN/07HX/PL-TE2/TE2D/TE5HX will it fit? I think my current filtration system is melting inside where the magnetic spinner thing is.

Asked by: Ciara11
Yes, this is the correct pump. You'll need a new impeller too then. Melting is usually due to maintaining the water level too low. BREX
