Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Product I am replacing my marineland filters with another brand. the wheels stop turning making it worthless. The bio wheels cost half the price of a replacement unit which is crazy. I have only had these for less than a year and already have to change filters - again crazy. Your products are not at all worth the money

Rated 1 out of 5 by from wrong size pictured I'm stuck with the wrong product that was pictured. This is too large.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't exactly fit but works Let me start by saying that I normally like Marineland products. I bought this wheel as a replacement for the Bio Wheel in my HOT Magnum Pro Filter with Bio Wheel that I originally purchased many moons ago. The filter has since been discontinued and the bio wheels must have changed size slightly since making this one just a bit too big. It scrubbed on the bottom of the housing and would not turn. Luckily though, I quickly discovered a work around. I cut two short pieces of fish tank tubing and placed one on each of the pins to lift it up. This worked perfectly. So, I cannot give this product an excellent rating because it did not fit right but I did find a workable solution very quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from item is great but is hard to get when needed I went many years buying the filters , and the wheel's ,but know they are getting hard to get., the wheels start getting water logged, and stop's turning the filters seam to plug up faster. when the wheel stop's the water in tank start's getting cloudy. would like to see them get back in supply with the city pet stores.

Is this filter suitable for a Penguin Power Filter model 200

Asked by: Phil the Pill
Actually, no, that one is for a discontinued filter model. You need http://www.marineland.com/Products/aquarium-parts/Filtration-Products-and-Skimmers/Penguin-Parts/BIO-Wheel-Parts-for-Penguins/BIO-Wheel-Assembly-Penguins-200B-and-350B.aspx. BREX

What's the measurements

Asked by: reydarle
This is a bio wheel to a very old item that has been discontinued for 12 or more years. We do not have measurements for this bio wheel. BREX

will this fit a 30 gal. penguin bio-wheel filter?

Asked by: lessa
No, it would not. The model name/number of your filter should be molded into the top of the filter cover. Most likely you have the Penguin 150. If so, you need http://www.marineland.com/Products/aquarium-parts/Filtration-Products-and-Skimmers/Penguin-Parts/BIO-Wheel-Parts-for-Penguins/BIO-Wheel-Assembly-Penguin-150B.aspx. BREX

I have a used filter with the bio wheel. Do the wheels need replacing or can they be cleaned and used over and over?

Asked by: sbk360
You can't really clean them per se. Just rinse them well, and install them. If they are not warped or damaged, they will turn and eventually build up bio load again. BREX

I inherited a fish tank and it's a Eclipse 2 I think?  the number on the pump says PFE2, what bio wheel and filters do I need? Thank you!

Asked by: Jace13
Yes, that would be the Eclipse 2. This link will take you to the page that has all of the parts as well as the cartridge for it: http://www.marineland.com/search.aspx?q=eclipse%202#/?filter.brand=Marineland BREX

I'm looking for a replacement for my eclipse good that had a 19cm or 7 1/2 inch wide wheel (pin to pin). My kid threw the original away. Thanks Is this the one?

Asked by: Justafishquestion
We would need to know which Eclipse you own. The model number is molded into the motor itself. We do not have a 7-1/2" biowheel. BREX
