Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helpful for Turtle Aquaria I purchased these extra tubes for my Marineland filter not because I needed to replace the parts but because I wanted to modify the output tube setup. I purchased this so I could have a duplicate of the intake tube for my output and thus have the output reenter the aquarium under the surface of the water (the default output creates splashing that is entirely too loud for aquaria that are not completely filled with water). Replacing the black output tube with the longer input tube solved this issue, as I can now use this with my turtle aquarium's lower water level.

what size tubing is needed. Do you make an intake set for 5/8 tubing?

Asked by: Shippingexpert
Yes, we do, and this tube set takes 5/8" tubing. http://www.marineland.com/Products/aquarium-parts/Filtration-Products-and-Skimmers/C-Series-Canister-Parts/Vinyl-Tubing-for-C-160-and-C-220-Canister-Filters.aspx BREX

Where Can I find a exstention tube for the input tube mine does not go far enough into the water not even half way down my 60 gallon tank

Asked by: Wyatt07
We do not make extension tubes for these filters since the intake is typically very long. For example, the 360 goes about 18" down into the tank on a 90 gallon tank, which is 24" tall. The 160 and 220 are a bit small for a 60 gallon tank, so you may have undersized your filter and that is why it is not reaching far enough down into the water. BREX

Does this kit come with the suction cups to attach to the aquarium glass?

Asked by: Steve Z
No, it does not. Those are sold separately: http://www.marineland.com/Products/aquarium-parts/Filtration-Products-and-Skimmers/C-Series-Canister-Parts/Suction-Cups-for-C-160-and-C-220-Canister-Filters.aspx BREX

I have a turtle and bought the Magniflow 220. I would like to extend the outake lower into the tank. Would the intake tubing for the C-220 tube set fit the tubing for the Magniflow 220? Thank you.

Asked by: Roseturtle
Yes, they are the same size. You could also raise the water and give your turtle more swimming room which would be more natural to him, than sitting in shallow water. BREX

I have a 220 canister filter and the intake outtake tubeS barely go down in take do you make extentions for them

Asked by: Deryl
The outlet is supposed to break the surface of the water, not go down into the tank, in order to create a lot of oxygen. The inlet length is rated for tanks up to the recommended 55 gallon size and should extend approximately halfway into the tank. We do not make extensions. BREX

Will this fit a Cascade 1000?

As we do not make that filter, most likely not. BREX

Is there an extension for the piece that has the square intake? This part barely goes into the tank.

Asked by: Joe13
I believe you are referring to the outlet tube, which has a diffuser on it. No, there is no extension. The diffuser is positioned to be at the water level/surface in order to create as much oxygen as possible, by moving the surface water. At most, it should be 1-2 inches into the water. BREX
