Rated 2 out of 5 by from Kinda helped I purchased this valve block because the one that came with leaks constantly when I disconnect it from the filter. I've had to clean this canister at least once a week, it loses pressure after 2 days and slows down to barely a trickle by the end of the second day. I've taken really good care of this filter and have had good luck with marineland in the past but no matter what I replace, I can't get thus filter to perform like it used to....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cheap at twice the price This valve block is not rebuildable, but at the price so what? My intake side was leaking a cup every 3 minutes, so I replaced the valve block and the cost was $15 for the unit. That is one third the cost of a competitor's analog (I own one of their canisters) and parts delivery was excellent. These things work or they don't. This one was totally leak free upon installation, and I could replace it with every seal refresh for peace of mind.

My key to my valve block is not turning to lock it down... this just happened all of a sudden ... what am I doing wrong?  Canister filter 360 is what I have.

Asked by: Kris_t73
I would recommend cleaning out the four nozzles/ports in case it is clogged. There may be some debris up inside of it, blocking the key from turning. You can also soak it in distilled white vinegar for up to 15 minutes, but I would definitely try unblocking it first, with a q tip or toothpick, etc. If you are unable to resolve this, please contact us at 1-800-322-1266. Valve block leaks when disconnected. Have to keep a bucket under while cleaning, is this normal ?

Asked by: Ksmugdog93
No, it should drip a few drops, then stop. Check to see if the valves are closing all the way when you lock it. To do this, flip it upside down after locking it and see if they appear to be open or not. If they are not locking completely, you may need a new valve block. If the filter is less than 3 years old, please call us and we can replace the valve block under warranty. BREX

I only need one collar that attaches the tube to the valve block. What is the price?

Asked by: Tim C
If you are referring to the hose nut, you will need to purchase the valve block in its entirety. Hose nuts are not sold separately. The valve block is available for $25 -$18, depending on where you purchase it. BREX

When will parts for the Magniflow canister filters be available from third part vendors (Amazon etc.)?

Asked by: Geno
Many of the C series parts are the same ones for the Magniflow. In the case of the gaskets, however, that is not so. Also, the Magniflow 360 takes a different impeller, and they all take different valve blocks. These parts will begin to sell separately sometime later this year. BREX

Does the valve block stop the water flow when it's disconnected from the canister, or do I have to install an inline valve on the output and return tubes?
