I want to know if I can slow down the water flow. It is flowing fast and pushing fish
I have the 6 gallon pillar. Need help. Pushing fish around.
Yes, you can. The motor has a flow regulator on it that you can slide towards the minimum flow rate when necessary.

Filter sponge adapter?
is there any sort of filter sponge adapter that could attach to this system? Is there anyway to change the water flow? Thank you.
We do not make anything like that for it, no, and the flow is not adjusted. However, some people use sponges made for powerheads or for sponge filtration to slide over strainers, if they have fry in the tank. All other fish should be able to handle the flow rate.

In order to answer your question, we would need to know what aquarium you own. An approximation of hinged dimensions will not suffice.

Can I buy a replacement lid for my 6 gal pillar tank?
I have had my pillar tank for probably a little over a year now and the lights shorted which also shorted my filter. I was able to buy a new stand alone filter made for the tank but I'm having a hard time finding a new lighting system since the lights are build into the lid. Does one already exist or alternatively can I buy just a new lid?
Just give us a call so we can get your information and we will take care of you.

Filter has stopped working
I had purchased the Marineland Pillar 6 gallon aquirium less than a year ago. About a week ago, the filter stopped working. I have tried cleaning all the parts but still no luck. Unfortunately because the lighting is wired through the filter, I am not able to just go out and purchase another filter. Is there a way around this?
Yes, give us a call and we can assist you.

Cylinder aquarium replacements
After one year, the led lights/hood no longer lights up and the filter runs, but eventually makes a crackling sound and water stops coming out. Can I replace the penguin 100 and hood? Is it with it?
No, the hood that is on it is the only one available and is not sold separately. The lights and filter are wired in. You could remove them, and use the new Penguin 75 and purchase a different led type of light to sit on top of the tank. However, if you contact us via phone or email, we would just replace the system for you.

I have the Classic 4 gallon at work and we have a 25 Watt max restriction to items that can be plugged in. Can you tell me the total energy usage of this aquarium?
With the lights off, the water pump draws about 5 Watts (Pump only), with Blue LEDs about 6W (Pump + Bl-LED) and with white LEDs (Pump + WH-LED) about 8W. If you want to be sure you are within your company's requirements, you can purchase watt-meter of your own such as the P3 Kill-a-Watt EZ Meter. Most cost under $20.

Need to have a heater for 6 Gal Cylinder Aquaruim
Is there a way for the submersible heater cord to be hidden in the tower as well?
It can be routed under the tower cover, in the corner. It cannot be placed in the tower itself.

Replacement Parts for the Marine Land 6 Gal Pillar Kit Aquarium
We have a 6-gallon Pillar Kit Aquarium and the motor got zapped in an electrical storm. We replaced it with another Marine Land Bio Wheel Penguin Filter but the wiring for this filter does not have a connector for the lights from the lid of the aquarium. The original filter came with a 3rd wire to attach the lights to the power source. Can we get a replacement lid with the original filter system so that all the parts can be connected to the power source.
Unfortunately, no, that is not available. You would need to replace the entire kit. Please call or email us and we will be happy to help you out.

I have the 6 gallon pillar tank system. Lights died. can I order a new hood/light/heater/filter system?
I think the lights got corroded. I would buy new lights, but I doubt you sell the separately. I am prepared to buy the whole electric system? If so, how much$?
Unfortunately, you would have to actually buy the whole tank since they are wired in. Just give us a call or email us directly and we will try to assist you.

Filter stopped working
The filter stopped working and I have had to toss it. Is it possible to just order a new filter? I still have the housing for it but not the working parts. I have owned the tank less than 6 months.
I'm not sure I understand how you tossed it since it is wired into the system. In most cases, when it stops working, you can pull out the impeller, clean it and the box it sits in, and it will work fine again. We do not have that filter available separately, since it is wired into that system. Typically, you would have had it replaced under warranty. This requires a receipt being faxed or emailed into us directly.

I need to purchase replacement parts for a 6 Gallon Pillar Aquarium.
A shelf over my 6 Gal Pillar Aguarium collapsed a many objects fell on top of it. The Filler Tower Cover, part numer ML90569, and the wires to the Power Supply for the LEDS were both broken beyond repair so I would like to replace them both. Is it possible to purchase just host parts?
Unfortunately, no, those parts are not available separately.

Lighting in this tank
I'm a newbie when it comes to plants....would the lighting that comes with the pillar 6 gallon be ok with plants? All the lighting systems I'm seeing won't fit in this tank. :(
Well, yes, and no. It is not rated for plants, however, several reps here have them set up and they have java fern, anubias, crypts, and amazon sword plants all doing well in them.

Can the current be reduced? (Classic 4G)
I bought the Classic 4G aquarium kit a few days ago and have been really disappointed so far. The filter outflow causes a ridiculously strong current that I have been unable to baffle successfully for extended periods of time which is causing immense stress on my betta. I'm not sure if this is related, but it looks like the biowheel bearings (which were pre-installed) were installed at two different heights. The biowheel still turns, but it's at an angle, which causes the water flow to even be irregular. I love the size and light features, but the filter (which is why I bought the tank - it came highly recommended at the store where I bought it) is too strong for the size of the tank. Any recommendations?
Bettas are generally not happy with much flow rate at all. They come from rice paddies in Asia where the water is very still. Unfortunately, this filter which is rated for your tank, does not have a flow control. It helps though, to place a cluster of tall plastic plants or a large piece of driftwood, for example, in front of it to break up the flow. In regards to the biowheel bearing, try pushing down on the one that is higher to see if you can lower it. It should go down.
