Back panel on my 300 gallon dd cracked. what kind of glass panel would i need to replace it? and what are the exact measurement would i need to tell the glass company to cut to replace it?

Asked by: ronron
We cannot advise you on this matter for legal reasons. I can give you the glass thickness and tell you that it is annealed glass. 12mm is the thickness of the back panel. BREX

On a 300DD, how many gallon capacity should the sump be to prevent overflow in the event of a power outage? I realize this could depend somewhat on the height that the over flow pipes are set at, and the height of the water level in the sump. Thank you.

Asked by: BenW
You will need one that will hold approximately 40-50 gallons of water. What’s more important is the remainder of empty volume in the sump after you’ve reached the operating level of the sump. During a power outage, you’d lose around 10-20 gallons to the pump, as long as siphon break occurs quickly. You’d want the sump to have that much additional space above and beyond the operating level. BREX

How expensive is it?

Asked by: Gregor
That would depend on the size tank you purchase, but typically the Deep Dimension tanks run $1,500-$5,000, with everything. BREX

Can I get the exact base dimensions of the 150DD tank?  Mine is on order from you and I am building a custom stand for it.  I need to know the exact base dimensions including the bottom bezel.

Asked by: SaraS
Those are: 72-1/2 x 18-5/8 x 26-15/16 Keep in mind that custom stands reduce the warranty from a limited lifetime one to only a one year warranty on the tank and nothing else. BREX

Can the 300 gallon DD tank be special ordered with no holes or overflows?  I wish to install an external overflow on my own by drilling two 2" holes in the back panel and two 1-1/2" holes for returns.  Also would like low-iron glass for the front panel.

Asked by: Thcmusic
No, we do not do any customer orders. The 300 gallon tanks all come with the low iron, ultra clear glass on the front panel, but we do not sell any without overflows any longer. BREX

Do you recommend putting any sort of liner/mat/cushion between the tank and the stand?

Asked by: GilandFin
Actually, no, we do not. This can make the tank off balance, and not allow the stand to properly support the tank. BREX

Am I able to order a large tank from marineland and have it shiped

Asked by: Blimmy
Unfortunately, no, we do not sell direct and cannot ship tanks direct. Tanks do not do well when shipped via UPS or Fed Ex. They are best shipped via freight with shrink warp, cardboard, and other product around them. Click on the Buying Options tab on our site, then the Find a Store link. Enter your zip code to locate a local fish store near you. These are the types of stores that can do a special order for a large tank. BREX

Is it possible to get the 150 deep dimension with a dual overflow? Because a MAXIMUM flow rate of 700gph is pitiful on a 150. I have a Marineland 93 Cube Tank that has the same spec'd overflow, yet the 150 is almost DOUBLE the size!

Asked by: Forsaken77
Good morning, Thank you for your inquiry. You have the 150XH tank (48x24x30), which comes with one overflow kit. The standard 150G tank (72x18x27) that is deep dimensions or marine ready has 2 overflows manufactured into the tank. Thank you, MINI

Do you sale the canopy and stand only?  I have a tank but my canopy and stand was damaged in a move

Asked by: Wllyums
Yes, they are sold separately through local fish stores. In many cases, you will need to special order them as they are a premium style and not a standard stocking item. BREX

I have a 300 DD w/Monterrey Stand. I also have a trigger system 64 gallon sump. The sump will nit fit into any of the openings because of 3 2" pipes where the drain plumbing fits the sump. Can I remove and replace the center brace in back of stand?

Asked by: Urbanknight
No. For one thing, this voids the warranty on the stand because you would be altering it. Secondly, removing the brace would compromise the integrity of the stand and the tank. BREX

I just purchased a 300G DD. I will be using it as a salt water reef tank. Generally you want to turn the tank water volume over 10x per hour, resulting in a flow rate in the neighborhood of 3000gph. Is it correct that each corner-flo only does 700gph?

Asked by: Chris Fryers
Yes, that is correct, each overflow has a maximum of 700-750 gph. BREX

Where can I order this setup and how much is it? 200g 48"x36"x27"

I'm interested in the 200 gallon 48"x36"x 27" with stand and canopy, also I'm wondering where and if I might be able to just order stand and canopy in which case how much would just stand and canopy cost.

All of your questions depend on where you live. Visit our site again, and click on Buying Options, at the bottom of each page. Go to the store locator and enter your zip code to find a store in your area. We do not sell direct, and you will need a local fish store, not a large chain to order from. BREX

what flow rate canister pump in each corner do I need for 300Gal DD

what flow rate canister pump in each corner do I need for 300Gal DD
Asked by: abcd1234
I do not know of one large enough on the market that would suffice for a 300. You need to move between 2100 and 3000 gallons per hour, going by the usual recommendation of moving 300 gallons of water 7-10 times per hour. Even the C530 would only move 1,060 per hour if you had two of them. Most people with these really large tanks use sumps or 2 canisters at each end. But, all of this depends on what you will be keeping. If you are planning a marine tank, live rock and a protein skimmer will help tremendously. BREX

200 gallon deep dimension back width between overflows

How wide is the glass in between the two overflows on the back of the 200 gallon deep dimension tank? I know the total width is 48 inches, I am trying to figure out what the distance is between the two overflows to make a cutout in my wall for viewing. Thank you!
Asked by: WWIII
As per our engineer, it is 29-7/16" between the overflow panels. However, he said this can vary as much as 1/4" and recommended that you make the opening in your wall a little smaller to ensure not viewing the plumbing. BREX

Can I use schedule 80 bulkheads on the 300G DD tank?

I just purchased a 300G DD aquarium, and I am looking to see if I can use schedule 80 buklheads instead of schedule 40. The hold size is slightly larger.
Asked by: Chris Fryers
Generally, Schedule 80 bulkheads of the same size designation will require larger holes, so they likely won’t fit. If you went with smaller bulkheads, you’d restrict flow. The use of Schedule 80 plumbing is generally overkill. Aquarium plumbing has open systems and never build up higher pressures that closed systems do. BREX
