What are the dimensions and hold sizes for the current starphire 300G DD

I am about to purchase a 300G deep dimension aquarium. I have seen prior posts about this information, but it is a year old, and these things can change. I would like to know the actual dimensions of the tank, including the rim bracing. Also, I have seen videos about this unit having 3 drains, but there are only two cornerflo's. Can you verify the number of returns and drains, as well as their drilled sizes?
Asked by: Chris Fryers
There are two corner flows with one return and one drain each. Here are the tank dims: 72-3/8 x 36-1/16 x 27-1/4 Nothing has changed regarding the dims. Bulkheads are 1". BREX

150DD Plumbing kit

How can I buy a new plumbing kit for my DD150? I can't seem to find it in the parts section.
Asked by: RobM
Those are not readily available. You would need to have a local fish store that can place special orders through their distributor. BREX

What is the warranty on your deep dimensions tanks?

What does it cover? What doesn't it cover? And what voids it?
Asked by: PdotCarter
Limited Lifetime Warranty as long as it is on a manufactured aquarium stand. Cannot be altered in any way like drilled, etc. If you use a custom stand, you have a one year warranty only on the tank. And again, the tank cannot be altered. BREX

200DD stand question

What advice do you have, 200DD I see people putting 1/2 foam under these tanks, I bought a 18month old tank and fixing to set up, should I put a plywood top and foam on stand or not ? stand came with tank and I'm told it is marineland stand, well made with a green/white bar code tag stuck on stand and same on canopy. Any advice on this is appreciated
Asked by: Axle
We do NOT recommend using something under the tank. This is not only unnecessary, but could interfere with the proper support of the pressure points of the tank. If you have a Marineland stand it should have a sticker on it with a ship's anchor. If you'd like to know for sure, email us a picture of the bar code and we can check for you. Put For BREX in the subject line. BREX

250g DD tank and Monterey stand dimensions

Hello and Happy New Year!! I’m currently in the process of setting up to purchase your 250g dd tank and Monterey stand and I have a couple of questions. 1) I’d like to see if you could give me the exact exterior and interior dimensions of the stand and tank? 2) How many braces are in the front of the tank stand? 3) With my current 165 g setup I have a skimmer and two reactors in a very tight space. With your stand, is there extra room for additional equipment along with a 40g sump including height space for skimmer cap removal? 4) Finally, I like the setup of your sump, can you send me the dimensions on that as well..approximately how thick is the acrylic? Any pictures or drawings you could provide would be appreciated Thanks

I'm thinking about buying a 300 gallon DD and wanted to know how many out of a 100 require a warranty claim?

I am sure that you keep quality metrics and I would like some insight into the reliability of these larger tanks, specifically the 200 and 300 gallon variety. Thank you!
Asked by: Lamont
Unfortunately, we don’t have the warranty information you’ve requested readily available. Please be assured, we stand behind our products, and in the event of a warranty issue with your aquarium, we will honor the terms of the warranty. BREX

Looking at one of your DD tanks

I curently have your 90g reef ready and I don't like the corner overflow; its to large and an eye sore. It seems like the ghost overflow with the bean animal plumbing technique will provide more GPH and little to no noise. Is it possible to get a DD without the corner overflows or have you drill for the reef savy overflow. Thank you.
Asked by: Scubageek
No, we do not do any custom orders, unfortunately, and no longer make the DD tanks in a non-overflow version. BREX

Information on the 265 gallon tank.

Looking too buy your 265 reef ready tank. Could you e-mail the hole locations and hole sizes? Also on the 265gG tank does it come with the ultra clear glass on the front and sides. Can the two overflows handle 700 gallons per hour each? Black or clear silicone. How long does it usually take to receive a tank once it is ordered from LFS?
Asked by: chong
Yes, I will email a CAD drawing to you directly. No, ultra clear is only on our DD tanks, the 200, 250 and 300. Oh, and the 150 DD. Yes, they each handle 700 gph. It has black silicone. That depends on the store and their distributor. Just a week if the item is in stock. If it has to be built, up to 6 weeks. BREX

Hi, Can this setup be ordered with rear drains? Not corner drains?

The tanks location offers a full side view and my client does'nt want to see the corner return.
Asked by: CurrentAquaticsLLC
Good morning! However, a rear drain would be a custom orders, and we no longer are able to process custom orders. All of our pre-drilled aquariums are corner drains. Sorry, MINI

Is there a fresh water version for the deep dimension 300g.

Asked by: Jamar
We no longer make a standard 300 DD, they all over overflows. You can use this for freshwater as well. If you do not wish to use a sump filter, plumb in a canister filter instead, ti works great! BREX

Leveling 300G Deep Dimension

I just ordered a 300G DD with the Monteray Canopy and Stand. I put a level on my floor and it is not perfectly leveled. I would say the bubble on the level is about 1 or 2 mm off the center. How would I level a tank and stand this size? I have leveled smaller tanks with wood shims before but I just want to double check as this is a heavy tank and a lot of water if it decides to leak. Thanks for your help.
Asked by: MoorishIdolFan
As per the emails you and I sent back and forth, your floor is fine, and leveling is not necessary. BREX

Warranty

Is it true if I make my own stand it will reduce warranty of the tank?
Asked by: Eric999
Yes, it is. Custom stands have not been properly tested to see if they support the pressure points correctly or not. Therefore, the warranty goes from life time on the tank, with coverage on other items besides the tank, to one year on the tank only. BREX

Recent problems with seam failures

Looking for a larger tank to replace my 200 gal. For the money and warranty I'm attracted to the 300 DD. However, doing some research on a few popular forums, there seems to be some seam failures recently. Any thoughts on what might have been the issue and what has been to resolve it? Thanks
Asked by: Paul1972
We are always striving for continuous quality improvement. We incorporate quality checks at every step of processing. We have added some changes to our large tanks that include the use of clear silicone on the bottom seams so we can more easily see any bubbles or flaws during construction. We have also improved bottom edge cleaning of vertical glass. Marineland stands behind our warranty. MINI

Deep Dimension tank with slight customization??

Hello, I love the dimensions on the deep dimension tanks you offer (5'L x 3'D x 27"T) but the predrilled corners aren't exactly what I am looking for... I was wondering if there was anyway to order this tank with the slight customization of having it be drilled as a peninsula style tank?? If so, what would it cost? Thank you

How many drain holes are in each overflow

I am looking at the 125 gallon and was wondering how many drain holes are on each corner overflow. I would like to run the herbie method so I would need two on each corner so one can act as a backup in case the first gets clogged, and then one more for the return on each side.

tank lids?

I just purchased a 300 gallon deep dimension aquarium. when I received the lids for the tank I found that each section was cut at 22.5 inches wide. the middle section of the tank where the lid sits is indeed 22. 5 inches wide. but the outer ends are 22 3/4 inch wide so the glass lids can slide and fall into the tank? My local fish store tells me that this is the only size lid that is manufactured for the tank? How can I fix this problem? for such an expensive aquarium I would think that the lids would fit properly?
Asked by: thedozerboy
The lids are actually just over 22.5" wide (cut at 22.75 but after they are sanded down, spec is 22 and 17/32 or 18/32 inches. Therefore, once they are situated into the inside framing of the tank, the canopies may shift from right to left, but should not fall into the tank. ML2
