Information on the 265 gallon tank.

Looking too buy your 265 reef ready tank. Could you e-mail the hole locations and hole sizes? Also on the 265gG tank does it come with the ultra clear glass on the front and sides. Can the two overflows handle 700 gallons per hour each? Black or clear silicone. How long does it usually take to receive a tank once it is ordered from LFS?
Asked by: chong
Yes, I will email a CAD drawing to you directly. No, ultra clear is only on our DD tanks, the 200, 250 and 300. Oh, and the 150 DD. Yes, they each handle 700 gph. It has black silicone. That depends on the store and their distributor. Just a week if the item is in stock. If it has to be built, up to 6 weeks. BREX

Hi, Can this setup be ordered with rear drains? Not corner drains?

The tanks location offers a full side view and my client does'nt want to see the corner return.
Asked by: CurrentAquaticsLLC
Good morning! However, a rear drain would be a custom orders, and we no longer are able to process custom orders. All of our pre-drilled aquariums are corner drains. Sorry, MINI

Is there a fresh water version for the deep dimension 300g.

Asked by: Jamar
We no longer make a standard 300 DD, they all over overflows. You can use this for freshwater as well. If you do not wish to use a sump filter, plumb in a canister filter instead, ti works great! BREX

Leveling 300G Deep Dimension

I just ordered a 300G DD with the Monteray Canopy and Stand. I put a level on my floor and it is not perfectly leveled. I would say the bubble on the level is about 1 or 2 mm off the center. How would I level a tank and stand this size? I have leveled smaller tanks with wood shims before but I just want to double check as this is a heavy tank and a lot of water if it decides to leak. Thanks for your help.
Asked by: MoorishIdolFan
As per the emails you and I sent back and forth, your floor is fine, and leveling is not necessary. BREX

i would like to know inside (usable) height of deep dimension canopy. also why won't you make a deep dimension tank without overflows?

10.75" We did, but they did not sell often. It is mostly reefkeepers using sump filtration that buy the larger aquariums. BREX

Is it true if I make my own stand it will reduce warranty of the tank?
Asked by: Eric999
Yes, it is. Custom stands have not been properly tested to see if they support the pressure points correctly or not. Therefore, the warranty goes from life time on the tank, with coverage on other items besides the tank, to one year on the tank only. BREX

Recent problems with seam failures

Looking for a larger tank to replace my 200 gal. For the money and warranty I'm attracted to the 300 DD. However, doing some research on a few popular forums, there seems to be some seam failures recently. Any thoughts on what might have been the issue and what has been to resolve it? Thanks
Asked by: Paul1972
We are always striving for continuous quality improvement. We incorporate quality checks at every step of processing. We have added some changes to our large tanks that include the use of clear silicone on the bottom seams so we can more easily see any bubbles or flaws during construction. We have also improved bottom edge cleaning of vertical glass. Marineland stands behind our warranty. MINI

Deep Dimension tank with slight customization??

Hello, I love the dimensions on the deep dimension tanks you offer (5'L x 3'D x 27"T) but the predrilled corners aren't exactly what I am looking for... I was wondering if there was anyway to order this tank with the slight customization of having it be drilled as a peninsula style tank?? If so, what would it cost? Thank you

How many drain holes are in each overflow

I am looking at the 125 gallon and was wondering how many drain holes are on each corner overflow. I would like to run the herbie method so I would need two on each corner so one can act as a backup in case the first gets clogged, and then one more for the return on each side.

There is one drain and one return on each end. BREX

tank lids?

I just purchased a 300 gallon deep dimension aquarium. when I received the lids for the tank I found that each section was cut at 22.5 inches wide. the middle section of the tank where the lid sits is indeed 22. 5 inches wide. but the outer ends are 22 3/4 inch wide so the glass lids can slide and fall into the tank? My local fish store tells me that this is the only size lid that is manufactured for the tank? How can I fix this problem? for such an expensive aquarium I would think that the lids would fit properly?
Asked by: thedozerboy
The lids are actually just over 22.5" wide (cut at 22.75 but after they are sanded down, spec is 22 and 17/32 or 18/32 inches. Therefore, once they are situated into the inside framing of the tank, the canopies may shift from right to left, but should not fall into the tank. ML2

Corner Flow Question

I just purchased the Marineland 200 gallon 36x48x27 tank and am slightly confused by the statement found in product description that the flow rate is 700gph, I want to make sure I purchase the correct pumps to accommodate this flow rate but my tank has 2 corner flows, is my recommend flow rate 1400 gph since there are 2 corner flows on this model tank ? or is 700 gph to be assumed that 2 corner flows were already taken into consideration when basing this flow rate ? Basically, i need to know if i need 2 (700 gph) pumps or 2 (350 gph pumps). Thanks for your time to review.
Asked by: oceanreefz
Great question! The ideal flow at the head height of the top of the return from the bottom of the sump should be 700-750gph (ie, at the 4' vertical lift, the flow rate would need to be within this range of gph as each foot of elevation reduces the flow rate by around 100gph.) So for your dual Corner Flo, you would need to take into consideration that you would need this equation doubled with a Y splitter/diverter on a higher powered pump (1400-1500gph at the appropriate height) or 2 (700-750gph) pumps. Deep Dimension Corner-Flo Glass Aquariums

Hello I was wondering if I can get a deep Dimension Corner-Flo Glass aquarium from online or a local store? And does it come with a sump? And if it does were could we get the media Gilbert etc thank you

You would purchase it through a local fish store, not a large chain. Someone local to your area only. No, it does not come with a sump; that is purchased separately as is whatever media you put in the sump. BREX
