Micro Bubbles in silicone seam
Recently purchased your 60 gallon frame-less/rim-less cube w/ corner overflow and noticed there are clusters of micro-bubbles in the silicone seams in the top corners spanning down about an 1.5" from the rim/lip where the panes of glass are mated.
In some areas, almost as wide as the 3/8" pane itself. Now, if this was a framed or braced tank; I wouldn't worry too much about it, but seeing how its frame-less; 60 gallons is a lot of water...
Is this something to be concerned with? Research seems to show 50/50, which is a gamble I really do not want to take.
We would need to see pictures of the tank in order to assess the situation properly. Please email some to us.

I have the 60gals tank and want to set it up correctly. What kind of sump do you recommend? I was looking at the RS-75, is this a good fit? Also, any advice on water pump and plumbing set up? I am also thinking about getting the Aquaillumination Hydra 52. Is this a good fit or would the Hydra 26 be enough to sustain a reef environment? Lastly, what do you recommend for skimmer? Thank you for your time in advance.
As we do not test other companie's products on our tanks, I cannot properly answer your questions regarding the RS-75 or the Hydra 52. As for a skimmer, we would recommend the Seaclone 100.

I have a frameless 93 cube. Your stands are too short for my needs and thus I need to have custom furniture made to ensure the tank is at the proper height. Your stands all appear to be open top but this is not ideal in my situation. I assume the bottom piece of glass is floated higher then the edges and thus the sides take all the weight? So if I go closed top for the stand (like you used to make) I should be fine so long as I do not put any foam correct?
I am not worried about the warranty as I will be drilling the side of the tank for a custom overflow as is but am unsure about the bottom support.
The bottom glass floats inside the vertical glass, but it is built flush at the bottom. A solid top stand would be fine for this tank, but the perimeter support still needs to be there from the tank to the floor. No foam should be needed as long as the stand is flat and level.
As you noted, there is no warranty on this tank, once it is drilled.

Those are not sold separately. You just call us direct and we send them out to you at no charge.

Reef Ready Plumbing
I have the 60g frameless cube and have been searching the forums for help getting it started. The consensus is that the Mainland durso corner overflow will be loud with anything over 300 gph flow, why does mainland recommend 750 gph? I was also given the tip to make the drain 1.25" after it leaves the bulkhead to prevent flushing. Any advice on this? Also can you send me Marinelands plumbing instructions for this tank? Thank you.
I can confirm what BREX notes: the only significant noise (and salt creep) comes from the siphon break hole in the return. (And without it, no, you won't drain your *whole* tank; just down to the level where your return is positioned. That may or may not overflow your sump.)

Are you still making the 45 gallon frameless cube?
It seems that all of the local dealers around me don't have one in stock and say they are having a hard time with ordering one. Can I just buy it direct from Marineland?
Yes, we still make it. Item # NV33011. This is a non-CornerFlo version. If you are looking for the Corner-Flo version, we did discontinue that one. You may have to have the LFS special order the NV33011 if they don’t carry it in inventory.

Cube Aquarium with rim?
I'm looking into the 30x30x24 cube. I'd like one with an overflow. Do they come with rims around the top of the tank? I'd like to put a canopy on the tank. Not sure if you can put a canopy on a rimless tank.
The only cube tanks we make with an overflow are frameless. We sell special glass canopies that have clips to hold them onto the rim of the tank.

Is the glass used for your frameless tanks "low iron"? I am looking to set one up for fish photography, and the "low iron" glass is very attractive.
The only tanks that we have that have low iron glass are our Deep Dimension tanks and only the front panel is low iron. These tanks range from 150-300 gallons in size.

Can the 93 gallon frameless cube be drilled with a overflow
I see the cube with a frame but I want to insure you can do the frameless
It has no tempered panels, but we do not recommend drilling as that voids all warranties on the tank.

60g Reef Ready Frameless Cube
Just picked up this aquarium and recommended flow says 700-750 GPH, that seems like a lot. I have a fish only tank, no SPS, would 300-400 GPH be ok? Would a skimmer even be able to keep up with 700 GPH? The skimmer I want does probably around 200 GPH. Thanks
That slow a rate is going to cause flushing, which is going to be very noisy. The 700 gph is recommended for all of our overflows, we do not recommend reducing it at all.

Do Not Drill Tempered Sticker
I purchased a NV18080 27 gallon cube and wanted to drill a return and overflow hole in the tank. There is a sticker on the bottom of the tank that says do not drill tempered glass. One of the other answers in the Q&A pages for this tank stated that none of the panels are tempered. I would like to know which if any panels are tempered.
The bottom is tempered. Any drilling voids all warranties.
