Glass cover for 300G DD
I just installed my new 300G DD. I'm looking for the glass covers you used to sell (item #36654), but I can't find them for sale anywhere on the internet. Is this a discontinued item?
Congratulations on your new tank! No, this is not a discontinued item. It is not a standard size, however, and will most likely need to be special ordered through a local fish store.

Corner flow tanks
Does the plumbing kits provided with these tanks come pre-glued at any/all joints? If not, is do you recommend not glueing?
No, it does not, and no, we do not recommend gluing. You can glue, but they are designed to be pressure fitted. That being said, I just installed an older, used 90 gallon in my office for my turtle and did NOT glue. I found it leaked just a tiny, tiny bit. All I had to do was use channel lock pliers to tighten the bulkheads, and it stopped. I had initially hand tightened the bulkheads and they were pretty tight, but I guess not tight enough. Just be careful to not overtighten with the pliers or you can crack the glass. Tighten slowly. I will send you a plumbing tip handout we have that I think will help you.

question on your cube aquariums
does the 93 gallon 30x30x24 cube come with trim? or is that size only available rimless? also does the 93 gallon cube come with the opinion of reef ready with a corner over flow?
It is only frameless, but comes with or without an overflow.

What tolerance to the stands need to have in flatness?
I recently purchased a 110 gallon corner overflow and built my own cabinet. The stand is solid and level. However, when I set a 48" level on the top rails, there are a few areas I can pass a sheet of paper between the stand and aquarium. The gap is too small to see or measure, but its between the thickness of a credit card and a sheet of paper. Will the tank safely deflect to accommodate this? Should I put a sheet of 1/8" foam or neoprene to help level the top rail?
We typically cannot advise on custom stands. The levelness of the stand, as well as the strength of the material are not the only considerations. It is how well the stand can support the pressure points of the tank in question. This takes a good deal of testing to verify. Therefore, we do not recommend custom stands. If you wish to email pics of your stand to my attention, I can run them by the engineer after the first of the year.

I have a mixed reef Marineland 150 gallon cube. I have 3 powerheads in pulse mode (2-3 second pulses). Will that fatigue the seams on the tank?
I read on various forums that wavemakers or powerheads on intermittent pulse programs lead to silicone fatigue and eventually premature leaks. Is this true? If it is, what do you recommend?
We have not tested our tanks with these systems. However, they do provide a great deal of pressure, and we recognize the cause for concern over time. We do not have any recommendations at this time, since we have not tested them.

I purchased a 300G deep dimension aquarium with the stand and hood. I just set it up and the return is very loud. Water is coming out from the anti-syphon hole and is making splashes and noise.
I am wondering if I do not have enough flow as the water level in the overflow box is quite low. I am adding another return pump. My current pump is rated for 900gph and the overflow boxes aren't filling up to the syphon hole.
Please let me know.
Congratulations on your new tank! It does sound like the flow rate is too low. Your pump may be rated for 900 gph but what does it do with a 4-5 foot head on it? Probably less than the necessary 700-750 gph. I think a bigger pump is definitely in order here.

can you please send me the diagram for the pre-drilled 93 gallon cube
I do not have a diagram specific to the 93 cube, but do have one for our overflows. They are all the same. I will email that to you.

Planning on buying a Corner Flo 125. I've never done a sump tank. This comes with everything you need minus maybe filter media to get started right? If we have a stand, Can we buy the tank and filtration together without a stand? Our LFS has this and we would like to get the tank and sump!
This comes with the tank, and the plumbing for inside the tank. You would need in addition to this, the sump, a utility pump for the sump, and your return plumbing. I can send you via email some plumbing tips that may help you quite a bit, in figuring out what you need, and how to install it. Sumps will not fit in all stands.

I am replacing a 75 gallon tank with a corner overflow tank with a 120 corner overflow tank
I am putting it behind a wall, and building the framing now. I have seen the 120 at our local fish store, and it appears the corner overflows are pretty much the same. Am I correct in this? I am wondering how close the bottom holes will be in the new frame.
Also, from what I understand of tank stands, the weight is basically distributed to the outer frame, so can the underneath be open and visible, using 2x4's to evenly distribute the weight along the outer frame? Do you have any links to building a frame for a large tank?
Yes, they are the same on all tanks, basically. I will email you a CAD drawing in a bit.
We are not allowed to give advice on custom stands as they void your warranty for the most part. Instead of a Limited Lifetime Warranty, you will only have a one year warranty on the tank itself. If we were to advise you how to build the stand, and it didn't support the tank right, we could be liable. I will say that a stand must support certain pressure points of the tank. It's not just about the weight.

I purchased a 75 gallon Marineland drilled tank used. The person who sold me the tank gave me the return tube and sump pump pipe without the nuts that secures them to the tank. Where can I pick these up as I cannot locate them on the website?
These are not available separately. You would need to have a local store special order the overflo plumbing kit for you. It would come with the pipes, nuts, bulkheads, etc. Give us a call, and we can probably pull some from the warehouse for you.

I have the frameless 60g cube with corner-flo. As I look at the overflow box I don't understand how water enters the vents on the lower level and makes it to the top. When the removable piece with the lower vents are installed it has a inner ridge on the top that blocks that entire flow channel. Can you explain this to me? Thanks.
The narrowing at the top is what helps the flow of water over the draw water from the lower vents. It works on the same principle as those aquarium siphons that you hook up to your faucet.
It's not meant to be the same flow rate as the water over the top.

I'm looking to learn more about the 90Gal RR tank.
I'm looking to learn more about the 90Gal RR tank. Is it low iron glass, which panels are tempered, what is the thickness of the panels, and any more information you might be able to provide regarding the quality of the manufacturing.
It is annealed, except for the bottom panel which is tempered. 1 overflo, black silicon, thickness of panels:
SIDES 10 mm
ENDS 10 mm
BOTTOM 6 mm
Date published: 2015-09-30
Is the 150xh have any tempered glass?
The 150xh glass tank does not have any tempered panels. However, please note, that any alterations made to the system will void any future warranty coverage on the tank.

150 Gal Extra Tall
Are there plumbing recommendations, such as size , for this tank posted somewhere? Also is there a template so I can cut my stand for the plumbing?
I will email you a CAD drawing and some instructions. Keep in mind, custom stands reduce the warranty to the tank only and only for one year.

150 gallon 48x24 with 2 corner overflows
I was wondering if you would know if there would be room for a third hole behind the corner overflow for a second overflow for a Siphon system ? And then also what are the outside dimensions of this tank
We would not recommend a third hole behind the corner-flo. It would be very close to the corner and could weaken the glass and cause a break.
Dimensions are: 48-3/8 x 24-3/8 x 31

Since I live in the area of Blacksburg, is it possible to buy an aquarium direct from the factory?
I am looking for a 180g and stand.
Thank you for your interest in our company. However, we do not have the manufacuring facility in Blacksburg. The tanks are manufactured in Illinois. We also do not sell/ship directly to our consumers especially for our glass tanks. You would need to visit a local family run retailer that would be able to sell you the tank that you are looking for.

60 gallon rimless Reef ready
Looking at purchasing this tank and need some information on the bulkhead, would like to know the exact placement of the holes and what size the bulkheads are so I can start ordering my plumbing supplies, the exact dimensions so I can build the stand for it and the recommended gph for the overflow to get the correct size return pump. Thank you so much :) have the 120 Reef ready and love the build quality!!
Bulkheads are 1.00". Flow rate is 700-750 gph. Dimensions are 23-7/8 X 23-7/8 X 24-7/8. Please keep in mind that a custom stand limits your warranty to one year on tank only.

Is it safe to use the pulse setting of my power heads in my Marineland 120h
I have a Marineland 120H and am using a Gyre power head. I want to know if it is safe to use the pulse function of this power head or of any other type of power head that offers this function.
We have not actually tested this feature in our tanks, but yes, it should be safe.

Starphire front panel for 180g?
Is it possible to order a 180g (item 97013) with a Starphire front panel? Does it have to be be custom, or is there an alternate product number that I can give to my LFS to order it?
We no longer do custom orders. The only tanks that come with iron free glass are the Deep Dimension tanks. Unfortunately, the 180 is not one of those tanks.
