I how can I tell which aquariums come with black silicone? Are all 55, 75, 90, & 120 gallon rectangular aquariums available with black silicone? Also, is the black silicone available with your oak trim?

Asked by: RCpB
The 55, 75, and 90 all come with black silicone, the 120 standard does not, 120 XH does. None of the oak tanks have black silicone, it wouldn't look right with them. BREX

Do you have the 16 G fish tank in stock (#10160)?  If so, how long would it take to ship to LA?  I'd need all the parts that go along with it, too.  Thank you!

Asked by: VickyFish
We do not sell direct. Tanks cannot be shipped via UPS or Fed Ex. They ship via freight, on pallets, with shrink wrap and other products around them to protect them from breakage. You would need to special order one through a local fish store. Visit the Buying Options tab on our website then click on Store Locator to find stores near you. BREX

Sorry, on a 120 (60x18x25), what's the height from the bottom of the bottom tank trim to the top of the bottom tank trim? Or from the top of the bottom tank trim to the bottom of the top tank trim, what's that distance?

Asked by: DerekMeline
The frame is 1-7/8" and the glass for the overflow style is 22-7/32", and on the standard it is 22-1/16". BREX

looking for a standard aquarium not drilled to take up a space approx 59" x 27" by 57" tall to include hood.  May consider one or two drills at the base of the aquarium depending on price.  Looking for metal base. Please Advise

Asked by: Richard Dollloff
The closest we have to that size is the 135 gallon tank which is 60 x 24 x 25.5 inches. We do not make any metal bases. A hood would add another 2 to 6 inches depending on the type you purchase. BREX

I just bought a 60 gallon from petsmart and noticed the corner of the trim is cracked, and the crack goes underneath where I cannot see it. will this cause my tank to burst or the glass to crack?

Asked by: jakethesnake
If you are referring to the bottom frame, then no, this will not affect the tank. Only if the glass itself is cracked or if the top frame is cracked, would you need to worry. BREX

Does your 55 gallon #10556 come with black silicone or clear. Also should I buy 2-24" glass tops when using 2-24" LED hoods #32994 to protect the LED lights from water?

Asked by: angelbreeded
It comes with black silicone. The LED hoods come with a protective cover under the light. If you were to add glass canopies, the LED hoods will not fit the tank. BREX

I have a 20 gallon tall and was wondering if I could drill either the back or bottom of the tank?

Asked by: Kolin84
There are no tempered panels on this tank. We do not recommend or advise that you drill an aquarium, as that is considered an alteration to the tank and will void warranty coverage. MINI

Could you please tell me the inside dimensions of the 120 XH (60X18X26) Aquarium.

I'm considering a three-dimensional background. My tank is currently established, it's difficult to get accurate measurements with the substrate and the tank being full water. Thank you!
Asked by: dlusional
The average inside length is 59-3/8". The silicone smear is approximately 1/2" on each end, which you would want to clear. Our tanks are hand made, therefore, we highly recommend you measure the tank first, as it may be slightly different from these dimensions. Just do it during a partial water change. BREX

Okay Brex.  Last question for you.   The 65 gallon black column tank, part # 10650.  Is the back panel drillable?   I am well on my way to purchasing a Marineland aquarium and you have been a big help.  Thank you.

Asked by: Dan 52
Only the bottom panel of this tank has tempered glass. The sides of the tank are annealed glass. Keep in mind any drilling you may do voids the warranty anyway. You are most welcome, glad to help you! Good luck with your new aquarium! BREX

SPECS FOR 40B BREEDER RECTANGULAR GLASS TANK

I would like to know the exact dimensions (inc frame), thickness of glass, tempered if any, and if there are center supports on top and bottom. Also what tops are made that would accommodate HOB filters, lighting, and your recommendation for a filter. I believe your product item No. is 10040
Asked by: RMJA
36-5/16 x 18-9/32 x 16-3/4 SIDES 6 mm ENDS 5 mm BOTTOM 5 mm Bottom is tempered, any drilling voids warranty. 34305 is a glass canopy for this tank. As for a filter, it would depend on what type of fish you plan to keep, etc, but I would recommend the Emperor 400 or the Penguin 350. Both would be more than enough filtration for this size tank.
