Rated 1 out of 5 by from Second unit in a year I replaced the original one (my tank came with this light) in my tank a little under a year ago. That one lasted about 2.5 years and this one lasted less than a year. The switch sticks, the night light (blue LEDs) stop working months ago and now the whole thing just flickers (only 6 of the LEDs actually turn on but when you first turn it on all the LEDs light up). At $40 for a replacement I want a lot more than a year of use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short lived LED light.... I have bought 3 of these lights for my smaller tanks as I loved the first one as well as my multiple other Marineland LED's... however I have recently tossed out the second one that has died in under a year, the first one did not make it that long. The third one I got had a sticky switch but was replaced by the retailer but is not yet flickering and going dim.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very prone to corrosion Like too many of the other reviewers on here, I have the same problem with these lights. I had 2 that came with a 55 gallon kit that I purchased. They were affixed to the tank with the plastic hoods that they came with, so there was a barrier between them and water.I will admit, they provided nice light when they worked, but one day one of them just didn't come on when my timer came on. I enjoy fixing things, so I of course took it apart to see if it was some simple fix like a bad wire or something. Found that the prongs on several of the LED's where they were soldered to the board were completely rusted through which I guess caused the others in the series not to be receiving power. The other light went out just a couple of weeks later. I'm assuming for the same reason. I think they lasted about a year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to set clocks Every power loss resets the clock to 3:00 PMThere are two buttons to set 4 times, the white lights on & off and the blue lights on & off. There's more about how long to hold each button...The manuals are not on the Marineland "Product Manuals and Instructions" button.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great for nearly a year This light was great for the first year (roughly). Loved the design compare to glass hoods. Sadly my light has died as well like many other reviews. I wish Marineland fixed the problem. I saw some reviews before buying and though maybe it was a fluke; sadly I was wrong. I wish I hadn't recommended the same hood to my partner.

what are the dimensions of these. length and width. I have a cover with two openings that are 17 inches long and 3 inches wide 2 side by side. Could this light just sit right on the plexiglass?

Asked by: Lisa Ann
Thank you for your inquiry! The length will vary, depending on which one you buy, but they are all 6" wide, and stand 2" tall, with leg assemblies. You can pull the leg assemblies out of them, and allow them to rest directly on the clear cover. Heat escapes from the top, not the underside. It sounds like you would purchase the 18-24 inch size light for the length. BREX

Does the 32995 have cut outs to be able ti insert a heater or filter?

Asked by: Kim321
Yes, of course! There are areas in the hood that are already cut out for these items, and an additional spot to extend the length should you want a larger filter.BREX

We've had our tank for about 11 months and the clear lights have stopped working. I think this is the one however the store directory didn't show a store in my area. Are there any sellers online?

Asked by: Bhally
Almost every pet and fish online vendor carries this light. Drs Foster and Smith, That Fish Place, Pet Solutions, Pet Mountain, Petsmart, Petco. You are under warranty, however, if it is only 11 months old, as it has a one-year warranty on it. I will reach out to you directly.BREX

I bought the LED Aquarium 37 & stand 3 years ago and the light switch has completely rusted out. Is this the correct light for that light hood? Btw have you made any alterations to keep the light components from rusting?

Asked by: Cindi05
Yes, this would be the correct light to purchase as a replacement for yours. And yes, we have made a number of changes to this light to better improve performance.BREX
